1. Play the various styles. Each drummer should play a pattern and insert a one to two

measure fill followed by the same pattern, followed by one more fill and a conclusion.

For help on the styles, look at the notation below and/or listen online recordings.

• Swing-big band swing style (b.d. MUST be LIGHTLY played!)

• Bossa Nova-Latin beat
