With blissful environment and cheerful faces
all around, we stop and ponder for a mo-
ment…What is it! The beginning of a new be-
ginning… Yes we say this because with the
commencement of the new academic session,
we start a new journey all together. A journey
towards our dreams, a journey towards pro-
fessional accomplishment and a journey to-
wards success.
In the beginning we all face small hurdles and
turbulences, but with determination, devotion
and correct guidance, we can overcome all of
them very easily.
So with a strong mind and a humble hear, let
us step into the academic session 2014-15,
here at SBSPGI, and let us pray to the Almighty
to make us tread the righteous path.
We, the Publication & Creative Writing Society
are thankful to the management for their con-
stant support and encouragement. We are
also grateful to all those who have contributed
their literary bit throughout the year. In this
new session we invite innovations and sugges-
tions from all for the newsletter.
Till then… Welcome freshers and Happy Read-
ing to all !
Editorial Board
Welcome and Congratulations !!
I have the privilege of greeting the new students from across the country to
SBS. Each August, I find myself transported back to that sense of fresh begin-
nings and infinite possibilities that I experienced years ago. You are a unique
and talented mix of students, who have come to us, ready to make a flight
into a brighter future.
We are thrilled to have you all here with us.
In the coming days and weeks, you will start building lifelong friendships. You
will begin classes and explore ways to expand your academic knowledge. I am
sure you will have a wonderful experience. Besides the outstanding educa-
tion that you will receive here at SBS, I assure you, that you will bloom and
grow into ladies and gentlemen in the true sense of the words.
Here with us, you will get an opportunity to engage in a myriad activities, on
and off- campus, that will truly enrich your time here. And I strongly encour-
age you to get involved in these activities and take up something that is unfa-
miliar and challenging. Keep an open and receptive mind.
I also want to remind you that you have a responsibility towards us and to-
wards the nation. I wish you all the best for an exciting, challenging, stimu-
lating and rewarding years on this campus, which will be, the start, of what I
hope a lifelong experience for you as a member of our family.
Together we are going to work indefatigably for a brighter tomorrow.
Thank you.

“The drops of rain make a hole in the
stone, not by violence, but by often
falling”---Lucretius
I was told by the Editorial Team that this issue
of SBS Times will be colored one, so I thought
of adding more colours to it and what can be
more better than “Rainbow” during the Monsoons.
It takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow.
The drenching, splashing month of “Saavan”, The
Monsoon season in the varied land of India is some-
thing else! That’s the stuff poetry is made of…….the
scent of the fragrant earth as it smiles with the first
drops of rain on its parched surface, the gleeful
dance of school kids in puddles, the plaintive call of
peacock in the rain with its brilliant plumage.
Well you all are starting your new session in this
beautiful season, I wish you ‘All the Best’ and pray to
Almighty that your life is full of colors like Rainbow
may your ascent and rise in life touches the skies as
the Rainbow does.

Fostering Scientific Temperament
in the Budding Students
T he contemporary students have multifacet
opportunities for the selection of careers.
The transfer of knowledge has an analogy
with siphon. The water has indispensable wisdom of
life, as it flows from higher level to lower level. The
faculty assumes higher levels whereas students re-
mains at lower level. This concept is attested by
academic compliances. The sprouting future of the
student needs the cultivation of certain behavioural
qualities through motivational and positive contacts.
They are: Rationality, Experimentation, Innovation,
Integrity, Creativity and Relentlessness
The best future of the student imbibes them as the
personality traits. The self assertiveness always im-
proves your throughout life. Finally the learning com-
petency matures you for the professional achieve-
ments.

“ S uccess comes in a lot of ways, but it doesn't come with money and it doesn't come with fame. It comes from having a meaning in your life, doing what you love and being passionate about what you do. That's having a life of success. When you have the ability to do what you love, love what you do and have the ability to impact people. That's having a life of success. ” I'm proud to be part of the S.B.S. I would like to thanks S.B.S. that gave me a chance to make my way, a good personality full of knowledge. I would like to extend my thanks to college faculty, staff and my friend for enhancing my knowledge, motivate and conduce me in every situation during the course…
Thank you S.B.S.
