Conventional school system

Teacher's table

The teacher's table is the energy supply

centre in the conventionally planned

classroom. For example, the connection

substructure not only houses the drainage

connection that is important for the sink

module, but also all the media required

at the teacher's table with water and gas

connections. The points of withdrawal for

the gas are authorised from the teacher'stable by means of solenoid valves.

The teacher's table providesthe following media:

the laboratory gas safety fittings are also

housed here.

The entire installation is pre-installed from

the point of withdrawal to the connection

port.

On the rear (facing the schoolchildren),

there is a centrally mounted electrical

subdistribution box for all the electrical

controllers in the classroom. The electrical

connections as well as the schoolchildren's

and teacher's control elements for gas

and electricity, and many other elementsfor controlling the room functions, are

ergonomically accommodated on the

electrical panels underneath the worktop.

The entire electrical wiring is pre-installed

to modular terminal blocks within the

electrical subdistribution box in the

connection substructure.

The SCALA reading stand can be

optionally attached to the teacher's table

and is horizontally movable.

The splash guard required in each

chemistry classroom is attached on the

side facing the schoolchildren.

This can be moved horizontally on rails

that are also attached to the teacher's

table. A unique feature of the SCALA

teacher's table is the opportunity to

connect the mobile fume cupboard

(AeroEm). As a result, the media

connections for water, waste water, gas

and exhaust air are provided on the side

of the teacher's table.

It has always been a challenge to achievethe appropriate level of tidiness in

classrooms.

The service side column prevents:

• Use of the sink for disposing of waste• Bad smells due to the U-bend drying

out

These factors have been taken into

account in the new development of the

SCALA school table with integrated service

side column.

The developed service side column offers

not only the usual media such as sockets,

low-voltage supply sockets, IT connection

sockets and points of withdrawal for

gas, but also water supply & waste water

connections.

This means it is possible to set up a

distillation experiment without having to

have a sink.

Also, vacuum generation is possible. In the

The service side columnprovides the following media:

event that schoolchildren really do have to

pour away small quantities of liquid or to

draw off water at their workplace then the

AquaEL mobile sink station can be used.This sink station is only docked to the

school table when necessary.

The AquaEL is mounted on a mobile

structure which additionally offers the

facility to store teaching utensils.

The service side column is attached to

the floor. The school table docks with the

service side column, and is also secured to

the floor. However, the working height of

the school table can be adjusted between

710 and 910 mm independently from the

service side column. As a result, the school

caretaker can adjust the working heights

of the tables individually according to the

schoolchildren's stature, even after the

furniture has been assembled.

The media block is an independent

media supply unit with the dimensions300/600/1050 mm. The media block can

be equipped according to the customer's

requirements.

Schoolchildren's workplaces

The schoolchildren's workplaces are

loosely placed against the block and their

working height can be adjusted from 710-

910 mm.

The loose arrangement of the tables

means that they can also be arranged in

groups in the room.

The pylon board system providesthe following media:

Pylon board system combined with

interactive writing surface

Two mutually independent, verticallyadjustable board surfaces (green

chalkboard, interactive board) offer

universal application possibilities for the

teachers. The projector is guided in a

3rd pylon and can be decoupled from

the interactive board. The PC module,

amplifier and loudspeaker as well as the

corresponding connection sockets are

accommodated in media ducts arranged

at the side next to the pylons.
