Importing

Most media is not hosted by Scalar! It is “imported” from archives like Critical Commons,

or even commercial websites like YouTube Scalar is affiliated with a number of archives,

and you can upload digital content directly from them, as well as from commercial sites like YouTube

Scalar will also host media files of less than 2MB

How to Import Media

This is the main navigation bar, located on the left-hand side of your screen

The top carrot (currently says “Import”) tells you know where you are

Hover over that carrot to navigate; Hit “Import” to add media

Still a bit buggy; “Import” won’t appear unless you’re in a book

What’s a Path?

You can create paths by making a new page or editing an existing page.

In the Relationships section of the page editor, look for the text “To make this page a path” and click “specify the items that it contains.”

You can then add any pages or content and can even drag and drop to reorder them.
