Scamming is an act of using others confidence and exploit their typical human quality Defrauding or swindling, and is often used to describe fraudulent internet business schemes.

HISTORY OF SCAMMING

One of the first documented scammers was called, the confidence man. He would approach people on the street and ask if they had the confidence to remove their wrist watch. Since the question was phrased as a challenge, many people fell for it and handed over their watches. Once they handed over their watch, he would walk away.

WHO IS BEING SCAMMED?

The elderly have a high risk of being scammed. Due to the fact that they are targeted because of their likelihood of having money to spend.

People looking for a quick fix to their problems.

WHY IS SCAMMING POPULAR? Scammers can reach a large number of people online. -Scammers cannot be easily traced – scammers work from various locations and even the FBI finds it impossible to trace scammers easily. -Global reach- scammers can work from any country. -Less restrictions, there are no restrictions. Scammers usually work from a very central place and don’t have restrictions or laws. -Transfer money without being traced. -Impossible to find out truth-Contact details cant be traced-Scammers can make a fast get away- scammers only need to unplug their laptop or flash drive and make a getaway . -- Scammers can operate from any environment.
