FOAM LURESHAVE ACTION OF BALSANEW MIXED SPECIAL FOAM LURES HAVE GREAT ACTION

Balsa has been used as material for quality wobblers for long time. Manu-facturing process of Balsa wobblers has several steps which takes time and increase expenses. The qualities of balsa wobbler, durability and attractive swimming can be also achieved by us-ing foam technology. Lately, new kinds of foam wobblers have been taking root in market. In manufacturing pro-

cess of balsa wobbler, one very impor-tant step is to ensure that wobbler can withstand the bite of predator. This step takes long time to complete and has been increasing costs. When wob-bler is made of special mixed foam, its surface becomes very hard, yet inte-rior of the wobbler stays porous, but still very hard. That keeps weight of the wobbler light and swimming ac-tion vey attractive.

OWN MODEL?

Creating a new model using foam technology happens very fast. First, have to model the wobbler and try what kind of diving lip fits the new model. When the body has got its right diving lip and hooks, new molds will be made. In addition to molds, size, material and strength of the main wire will be defined. Molds are determined according to mate-rial used. When molds are ready, the manufacturing of wobbler can begin

SWIMMING ACTION

Did you know that swimming action of the foam wobbler can be adjusted according to weather? Traditionally, in Scandinavia, fishers think, that accord-ing to season, wobbler must have ei-ther strong or sensitive swimming ac-tion. When using foam wobbler, this is easy to do, even in the midst of fishing.

DIVING LIP

Diving lip can not be made of traditional plastic, because it should be suitably flex-ible in the case of bottom contact. Many fishermen respect easy adjusting of div-ing lip when there haven’t been any bites.

Ice TeNT PROVIDeS PROTecTIONMany times, the problem of the ice-fisher is the cold weather. This prob-lem can be solved by using ice tent. A tent provides protection against wind and snow. The floor is open to make it easy to drill a hole. Many fishermen get a heater inside the tent to create some extra atmosphere. Our selec-tion has many types of ice tents, from basic tents to pop-up open tents and sledge tents.

BLIND GATOR likes to thrill with its astonishing hologram sides. Extra de-lightment is provided by rattling balls inside, which send underwater court-ship signals, alluring attention-seeking beautys. Euphoric sounds and delight-ful hologram is just too much to resist. To complete hooking, VMC hooks have been added. 15 colors.

Balance jig has been a basic lure of Finnish ice fishing for a long time, but nowadays its popularity is not only lim-ited to ice fishing and to Finland. Bal-ance jigs have now found their way to people’s hearts outside Finland also. In countries like Russia and USA many fishermen now desire for balance jigs.Right kind of hair gives the jig an excit-ing action. Nutrias are natural in very cold water, that’s why texture of nutria hair is just like designed for ice fishing. Nutria hair is very durable and lasts many times longer than typical arti-ficial hair. Hair used in our Asseri Ace

ASSERIACE OF SPADESBALANCED JIG TAIL WITH PURE NUTRIA TAIL

of Spades mini balance jig is a real nu-tria hair imported from EU. Material in these mini balance jigs is alloy of lead and type metal. Type metal makes the lure harder, therefore more durable.

Ice fishing is definitely an art form, but almost as important as skill, is the at-tractiveness of painting of the bait, that’s why we always pay attention to even smallest details in our products. Nevertheless, painting being attractive is not enough. No customer wants to have a product paint falling off in short time. Nowadays, as everyone with ex-

perience in the business knows, the quality of painting is problem too of-ten. Asseri Ace of Spade balance jig is coated and painted with CAB coatings and colors imported from Finland to guarantee the quality for demanding markets. Finally, to finalize the check-list, it’s essential to pay attention to the quality of the hooks. We always use Japanese VMC hooks to guarantee the end product is something that cus-tomer is happy to buy once again.

Hooks of Ace of Spade are not barbed, allowing fisher to take fish faster off the hook.

Fishing with balanced jig demands constant action. Lure has to be kept in constant motion with either short quick bobs or with long sedate bobs. On the new hole an excellent way to add a few more jumbo perch to the bucket is to allow the lure to bounce off the bottom of the lake. After this it is good to have few strong bobs before positioning lure about 30 cm from bot-tom.

Asseri Ace of Spades also works well at summertime for boat- or pier fishing.

Are scented baits really useful? Can fish even smell these scents? These questions have been asked several times by fishermen around the world. Lot of scientific research has been done on the fish’s ability to sense different scents. These studies have clearly shown that fish can not only smell, but studies have proven that olfaction (sense of smell) of the fish is actually very developed. Fish uses its olfaction for navigating, searching food, detecting enemy and recogniz-ing its own species. Some species can navigate huge distances using their olfaction. Salmon, for instance, navi-gates back to its home river for spawning by using olfaction.

When fish closes in on the bait, many fish e.g. bass, often do the final deci-sion to strike based on the smell of the bait. Most of fish have actually better sense of smell than dogs. Bass, for example is able to smell 1000 times better than an average dog. That’s why attention should be paid to not let the bait in contact with so called “negative smells”, which include gasoline, cigarette, lubricants, sweat and some scents of the animals which eat fish. Fisher should also be careful about throwing just caught fish back to same place where it was caught, because according to some researches some species emit a chemical which

other fish reads as a “negative smell” and stop eating.

REAL FISH OIL INSIDEWe have scented our many baits in manufacturing process with smell of real fish. BLIND Shaker Concept soft-baits are scented with oil imitating real fish oil. Studies show, that this scent at-tracts fish very well.

SEVERAL SCENTSWe have many scents available; mostly used scents in our selection are fish liver, fishoil, chicken liver and shrimp. Addi-tionally, also sweet scents, like straw-berry, caramel and banana are avail-able.

MORMYSHKASRussians have invented mormyshka for their beloved winter sport – ice fishing. Good mormyshka, despite its small size is heavy, and has a sharp thin wire hook because e.g. one of the best baits, blood worm, is difficult to put on to thick hook. Small body must have enough weight, which is obtained by using heavy metals i.e. tungsten (wol-fram) or lead. In high quality mormysh-kas, metal used is always tungsten. As a material, tungsten is better than lead, no matter how you look at it.

“Mormyshka (or Mormishka, or Mar-mooska) is a sort of fishing lure or ajig. The word is derived from Russianword Mormysh - that means Freshwa-ter Shrimp (Gammarus).Mormyshka was invented in the 19thcentury in Russia. The prototypeswere big spoon lures used for ice fish-ing. Trying to imitate shrimps, anglersmade lures smaller and changed theway of fixing them on the line. As a re-sult, efficient lures appeared and were spread quickly among ice fishermenall around Russia and Scandinavia.”- Wikipedia -

Tungsten has higher density, therefore weighs 1.7 times more than lead and is also very strong, stronger than aver-age stainless steel. Thanks to its larger weight to size ratio, tungsten mor-myshka doesn’t only sink faster, but its much easier and quicker to detect a bite when using tungsten jig, specially in deeper water. Heavy weight pulls back more on line, allowing fisher to retain the contact and feel of the mor-myshka, giving more control over it. Tungsten mormyshka also penetrates heavy weeds better than those made of lead.

OUR MORMYSHKAS

Our mormyshkas are all made in EU and material is 100% tungsten. Market is full of mormyshkas which are made of tungsten mixed with other metals. Quality of those is not comparable to those made of 100% tungsten.

Hook of the Asseri mormyshka is at-tached by using technology which prevents hooks come loose and spin-ning. Which, unfortunately, is not a

case with many others. Unlike most producers, who use gold, silver and cop-per imitation for plating, our gold, sil-ver and copper plated mormyshkas use real gold, silver and copper for plating. Beads used are real Swarovski crystal beads from Germany.

Vacuum packing is a method of stor-ing food in an airless vacuum environ-ment, usually in an airtight bag or a canister bottle to prevent the growth of aerobic bacteria or fungi and preventing the evaporation of volatile components. Vacuum sealing also keeps the fresh taste very long. That’s the main reason why around 70% of Scandinavian hunters and fishers vacuumpack their catch. Almost any kind of food can be preserved, includ-ing smoked fish and meat as well as fresh fish and meat. Vacuum packing has become very popular almost all over the world.

WHY VACUUM PACKING?

Foods maintain freshness and flavor 3-5 times longer than with conven-tional storage methods, because they don’t come in contact with air and oxygen. Foods maintain their texture and appearance, because microor-ganisms such as bacteria, mold and yeast can not grow in a vacuum. Freezer burn is eliminated, because foods no longer become dehydrated from contact with cold, dry air. When foods are frozen without prepara-tion, freezer burn can occur. Freezer burn happens when the surface of the food is dehydrated and this leads to a dried and leathery appearance. Freezer burn also ruins the flavor and texture of food. Vacuum packing prevents freezer burn by preventing

VACUUM PACKINGKEEPS FRESH TASTE

the food from exposure to the cold, dry air. Moist foods won’t dry out, because there’s no air to absorb the moisture from the food. Dry, solid foods, such as brown sugar, won’t become hard, because they don’t come in contact with air and therefore can’t absorb moisture from the air. Foods that are high in fats and oils won’t become rancid, because there’s no oxygen coming in contact with the fats, which causes the rancid taste and smell. Insect infestation is eliminated, because insects require oxygen to survive and hatch

Our vacuum sealers have been very popular e.g. in the demanding mar-kets of Finland and getting more popular in other countries also. Seal-ers are very high in quality and very competitive in price compared to competitors. These sealers can vacuum preserve food in vacuum bags, canisters and marinator bowls. Winestoppers are also available.

QUICK HOW TO DO

Prepare meat or fish normally before packing. After that, take suiutable size vacuum bag or cut suitable piece from vacuumbag roll.

If you use vacuumbag roll, seal the other side of the piece you cut. Put the food inside the vacuumbag making sure that there is some empty space on both sides of the food for air to get out. Also check that inner surface of the open end of the bag is clean and dry. Place the open end in the sealer and close the lid properly from both sides. Vacuum and seal the bag with one press of a button. After this vacu-umed food should be refrigerated od freeze in three hours time.

Tip:

When vacuumpacking fish, many users wrap it into waxpaper before vacuum-ing.

You can also vacuumpack your dry-foods, matchsticks or other items need to keep dry when in the wild

SOFTLURE KITS FOR SUPERMARKETS

One of the best selling items of super-markets’ fishing department is a basic jigging set. The same style 40-piece blister set was for sale by many suppli-ers and basically only way to compete was the price. Our customer wanted to stick out and asked for our ideas.

In co-operation with the customer, we designed a new look for this inexpen-sive product. We added a clear pic-tures of the fish the set was designed for, improved overall design and added more information about the product. Customer was happy and so were their customers. We also redesigned lure sets with similar success.

F ISHING COMBOS SELL WELLAND WE DESIGN AND PACK THEM WELLDepartment stores, supermarkets, DIY stores, chain stores and also special-ized stores want more versatile com-bos in their selection. Many times, for combos, the price is more important factor than the quality. However, what ever is packed inside the combo, the most important factor is the looks. If the design is nice, the product sells.

WIDE RANGE OF EXPERTISE

We have wide range of expertise in creating combos. First we gather the products to be combined, after that we design packing, decide how to pack products inside and design the artwork. For that, we have all the lat-est designing- and drawing software, photographing equipment and 3Dsoft-ware. After design is completed it will be sent to customer for evaluation and approval. When the result is high on standards, it will show right in the sales of succeeding year.

PHOTOS

We always take print-ready photos of the product for customer. This way, many times, money will be saved and salesmen can start their job earlier. Many today’s buyers buy basic prod-ucts on the basis of photos, that’s why importance of good photos is signifi-cant.

Here some examples of our coopera-tion in building combos with our cus-tomers.

MORMYSHKAS

Mormyshkas are very small, which makes them difficult to sell. At the re-quest of the customer, we designed new blister packing with 10 different products, added alarm sticker inside and welded the blister. Result: happy customer with remarkable increase in sales.

FLY FISHING SET

Fly fishing sets often cause frustration. Good fly fishing set consists of decent car-bon fiber rod, strong alumi-num reel, base line, fly line, leader and possibly flies. Also, need understanding how to tie three different kinds of lines to each other. Together with customer, we defined specifications for each component. After we shipped all the com-ponents to same place, where they were packed under the supervision of the specialist. As a result, customer wanted exclusive rights to his area for our fly fishing sets.

Customer wanted special customized set for whitefish. Set was to include hooks, weights, swivels, line, bells and instructions. After discussion with customer about items and packing, we started the process. One impor-tant feature was price, but hooks had to be top quality. We gathered items from many places and packed them into one product. We provided photos to customer well in advance for their marketing. Thanks to good photos tak-en before shipment, the original order quantity more than doubled.

These were only few examples of our combos we have created together with our customers. If you have a spe-cial combo on your mind you would like to create, please contact us.

ROD REEL COMBOS

Well designed rod reel combos are al-ways in demand. We are specialized in creating good value, attractive rod reel combos. We have several ready designed combos and customer’s own designs are always welcome. Most of our products are available in OEM.

At first, people were somewhat suspi-cious of whether Chinese made engine can be reliable or is it even capable of drilling the ice. During last few years, Asseri Power Auger has proven to be very reliable, which can be seen in sales figures.

Asseri Power Auger has 43 cc engine. It is connected to transmission and drill part. Drill part is available in 6, 8, and 10 inch sizes. Controls of auger are strong and easy to use.

Finland’s largest ourdoor magazine, Erä tested Asseri Power Auger in their 2012 January issue. It got lot of praise for its very easy ignition. The auger had started easily in any weather. The test was conducted in several weather conditions and ice conditions. The au-ger had penetrated ice with ease in all the conditions. Lot of good things were said, but also one thing was criticized. The weight of the Asseri Power Auger is little bit heavier than its rivals, but when consumer price is around 50% lower, I think that is acceptable.

EVA BOOTSVERY WARM AND LIGHT

process are very important.

Material of the lining gives the boot its finishing touch, which gives the boot good thermal features.

Winter boot should have strong out-sole with good antiskid properties. Since shape of the foot is different in different parts of the world It’s good to remember to make sure that foot part is wide enough for the end user.

To keep feet dry, good winterboot should have a snowlock to avoid snow getting inside.

EVA boot is at its best in winter con-ditions. It is not recommended to use them in same use with normal rubber boots, e.g. in forest where might be lot of sharp branches on the ground. If EVA boot is to be used in that purpose, separate TPR or rubber outsole should be used.

In the past few years EVA has gained a huge popularity as a material for win-ter boots. It’s excellent thermal quali-ties and lightness has made it very wanted material. An extra plus is very affordable price. Manufacturing EVA boot is not as easy task as it might sound. Manufactur-ing Crocs style summer sandals and winter boots is two totally different things. For winter boots, cold weather and problems it causes must be con-sidered. Thickness of the EVA material must be right. Pressure, temperature and heating time in manufacturing

EVA HAS BECAME ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR MATERIALS FOR WINTER BOOTS
