BOOK SCANNERS

Book Scanners are located in front of the Reserve Desk.

Page 3: Scanning instructions

Request the Book Scanner access key at the Reserve Desk.

To begin, insert access key & USB flash drive into the USB port, located in front of the book scanner.

You must have an activated QCC OneCard in order to obtain the key. Access key must be returned within the time limit (30 minutes); any

additional minutes will be subject to fines. You must use your own USB flash drive in order to save your scanned

documents.

Touch the screen to begin.

Press NEXT to continue.

Page 6: Scanning instructions

Press ACCEPT to continue and accept the copyright policy.

Page 7: Scanning instructions

You may change the default scan settings or press NEXT to continue. (Note: Color scanning takes much longer to save.)

Place book or document face-down then press NEXT to continue.

Once the SCAN button is pressed, the system will display a scanning progress window.

If you have finished scanning then press the SAVE button to continue. (Note: For best results, save scans in smaller units; for example, scan and save pages from one chapter, then scan and save pages from another chapter.)

Press ACCEPT to continue. (Note: If Free Space: = 0.00 MB then you can insert a different USB flash drive.)

Page 12: Scanning instructions

Either accept the default file name or enter a new one, then press NEXT to continue.

Remove your USB flash drive when done.

FLATBED SCANNER

We have one self-service flatbed scanner located in front of the Periodical section. Instructions are located on the desktop.
