 Hull  &  Deck  Construction   Constructed  by  Hart  Marine  in  2004.    The  hull  is  constructed  over  a  male  mould  with  the  outside  surface  faired  by  hand.  The  unidirectional  fibre  is  applied  under  tension  over  the  male  mould  surface.    The  materials  used  in  the  construction  are  Woven  Kevlar  and  Uni  Carbon,  Woven  Carbon  35mm  foam,  SP  Epoxy  resin.  The  aim  is  to  produce  a  monocoque  construction  with  minimal  internal  structure.      All  laminates  are  consolidated  using  vacuum  bay  to  produce  a  high  glass-­‐to-­‐resin  ratio  and  cured  in  accordance  with  SP  Systems  recommendations.    The  outside  surface  is  finished  using  epoxy  primers  and  top  quality  marine  two  part  polyurethane  paint.  Hull  undersides,  keel  and  rudder  are  anti-­‐fouled  with  VC  10.    The  deck  is  constructed  over  a  male  mould  like  the  hull  using  the  same  basic  materials  except  the  foam  core  is  15mm  on  the  flat  areas  and  10mm  on  the  vertical  surfaces.  The  deck  is  bonded  to  the  hull  using  epoxy  resin  and  glass  tapes.    In  all  areas  where  fittings  are  attached  to  the  deck  the  foam  is  replaced  by  a  high-­‐density  core  and  Kevlar  wear  pads.  The  deck  is  painted  with  two  part  polyurethane  gloss  paint  on  the  vertical  surfaces  and  with  a  non-­‐slip  additive  on  the  flat  surfaces.    Rudder:  Carbon  stock  to  be  constructed  from  high  modular  carbon  and  consolidated  to  5  bar.  Eliptical  carbon  blade  glassed  to  the  stock  and  checked  against  full  size  mylals.  Self  aligning  bearing  is  to  be  used  top  and  bottom  to  ensure  smooth  and  positive  steering.

 Interior      The  basic  internal  structure  of  keel  floors,  mast  step,  engine  beds,  and  bunk  fronts  are  from  male  mould  and  are  finally  bonded  into  the  hull  using  SP  Epoxy  and  E  Glass.  The  interior  is  a  fully  molded/washable  finish  with  all  soft  edges.    The  bulkheads  and  internal  furniture  are  made  from  Carbon  and  Foam  composite  panels.    The  galley  containing  stove  and  a  work  top  with  large  icebox  beneath  and  storage  lockers  above  and  below  are  provided  to  give  a  compact  workable  galley.      A  navigation  area  is  sited  below  the  companionway  complete  with  instrument  panel  and  seat.      Forward  of  the  main  bulkhead  the  toilet  and  wash  basin  are  situated.
