    Learning Objectives

    ▪ Remember- I will be able to recall the vocabulary related to the poem i.e. ‘recite’, poet,

    poetry, rhymes etc.

    ▪ Understand – I will be able to understand and appreciate the poem. I will be able to

    learn the values imparted by the poet and also the integration of the poem with ‘Swatch

    Abhiyan’.

    ▪ Apply- I will be able to recite the poem with proper intonation. I will also be able to

    apply the learnt value i.e. ‘the joy of giving’ in my daily life.

    ▪ Analyze / Evaluate- I will be able to identify the error in the pronunciation of the

    ➢ Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is campaign by the government of India

    focusing on cleaning and sanitation.

    ➢ Cleanliness of a person from outside i.e. maintaining personal hygiene.

    ➢ Cleanliness of a person from inside for example: having good thoughts, speaking truth, being honest, kind, helpful, polite and not hurting

    anyone.

    ➢ Cleanliness of a house from inside for example: neat and clean house and

    its rooms, throwing waste/garbage in the dustbin etc.

    ➢ Cleanliness of a house from outside for example: not throwing garbage

    outside the house and keeping the locality/neighborhood clean, not

    throwing waste in the oceans.

    • Cleanliness Drive : Cleanliness is a habit not an act. And it is said that change starts from home.

    Let’s start our own cleanliness drive at our home:

    ➢ By helping parents in keeping the house and environment clean

    ➢ By keeping our selves clean inside out.

    Click the pictures of the efforts taken towards this drive,make a collage of it and write a

    beautiful slogan on it. Mail the collage to the respective classteacher.

    • They help to spread love and bring people closer.

    • We should always think of our environment while celebrating festivals.

    • After the celebration we should make sure to keep the streets/

    Holi

    Holi is one of the most famous festivals of India. The

    festival majorly involves Holika Dahan (bonfire) on

    the first night, followed by a festival of colors on the

    next day. Holi is also known as Festival of Colors.

    Ganesh Chaturthi

    Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated annually to mark the

    birth of Lord Ganesha, the God of new beginnings

    and a fresh start. Lord Ganesha is considered to be a

    symbol of wisdom, writing, travel, commerce and

    good fortune. He is also addressed as Gajanana,

    Ganesh, Gajadant that are among his 108 names.

    Sort out activity: Children will prepare 10 small chits, write the names of

    different waste items mentioned above on each chit and sort them by putting

    those chits in the correct color dustbin. Click the pictures of the activity done and
