Scholarship winners must follow the criteria of the scholarship in order to receive any monies. They may request, in writing, up to a two year delay in payments due to unforeseen circumstances. These requests should be directed to the high school guidance counselor. Scholarship payments not claimed within one year of the deadline will revert to the original scholarship fund. Successful completion should be construed as a minimum 2.00 GPA.

All Scholarship awards are based on a student maintaining full-time status unless otherwise indicated in the scholarship, i.e. minimum of 12 credits on a semester basis.

BANK OF BRODHEAD SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any High School Senior planning to pursue post high school education in the Business, Finance, or Agricultural field. (Applicants outside these fields will be considered.) Students musthave maintained a 2.5 or higher GPA.APPLICATION: Through the High School Guidance Counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: By a committee comprised of the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Brodhead, one other Bank Board member, and the High School Guidance Counselor. The Chairperson will be the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.AMOUNT: One (1) $500.00 scholarship to be awarded upon successful completion of the first semester of the selected course of study. Proof of registration for the second semester must also be submitted to the Bank of Brodhead.

WILBUR “BUSTER” BAXTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School Senior entering a one or two year trade, vocational or technical school, or entering an adult apprenticeship program in the skilled trades. Applicants must be pursuing a career in the skilled trades, agriculture related field or construction field.SELECTION PROCESS: Three nominees shall be selected and forwarded to the Baxter family. The initial selection committee shall consist of: 1. Technology Education Teacher, 2. School Counselor, 3. Another Faculty Member or PrincipalThe criteria for selection shall be based on: 1.) Intended career choice/major2.) Willingness to work/learnPAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP: Payment will be made upon proof of start of program or enrollment. Students should bring this to the office during the summer or fall after graduation. A one-time payment of $300 made payable to the student for the intended purpose of paying for tuition or supplies related to school/program.

MARTHA BOEGLI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGLIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School Senior planning to pursue post high school education: technical or a degree program. Students must have maintained a 2.5 GPA or better. Ongoing involvement in school, community, church, music, athletics or student government will be considered.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: All Applications sent to the Larry Boegli family for final selection of the recipient. Criteria: 1. Financial need, 2. Team oriented, 3. Honesty and integrity, 4. Service to school and community (volunteering), 5.Character and citizenshipAMOUNT: Approximately $250. Recipients name will be inscribed on a plaque in the high school foyer. In the event that two (2) students are chosen, the scholarship will be $250 each. The scholarship will be paid upon verification of registration at the beginning of the junior year of a four- year program or the 3 beginning of the second year for a two- year program. Students must be in good standing and should present verification of registration to Larry Boegli, N2608 Oakridge, and Brodhead, WI 53520. (897-4152).

BRODHEAD EDUCATION ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School Senior planning to further his/her education at a college/university or vocational school in the field of education and/or any Brodhead High School senior who has one or more parent that is a current member of the BEA and is seeking a degree in any field.APPLICATION: Through the High School Guidance Counselor. SELECTION PROCESS: A committee made up of high school and middle school , and/or elementary faculty who are BEA members will select the candidates based upon the following:

1. Character (including honesty and integrity). 2. Grade point average. 3. School/community involvement. 4. Financial need.

AMOUNT: 1.) Education Major-$500 to be paid upon acceptance into the School of Education at the recipient's chosen university or at the beginning of his/her second year of vocational school in an education related field with proof of registration.2.) Child of BEA Member - $500.00 to be paid at the beginning of the second semester of enrollment at a college/university or vocational school upon proof of registration.

MARGIE H. BREYVOGEL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDELIGIBILITY: Given to two (2) graduating seniors who meet criteria stated in the selection process:SELECTION PROCESS: The recipient shall be: * Co-valedictorians (2) – The co-valedictorian receiving the state scholarship will receive a $500 and the other co-valedictorian will receive $500. *Co-valedictorians (more than 2) the state scholar will be excluded and the remaining co-valedictorians will split the monies equally. * Valedictorian(1) – the Salutatorian will split the scholarship with the valedictorian as in letter A as above.1. The recipient shall be:A. The graduating senior with the highest Grade Point Average from Brodhead High School who will attend a Wisconsin Technical

College Program.PAYMENT1. An amount of monies 1) not to exceed $1000/year each year for four (4) years to cover thetuition only cost of a four year college or university program, 2) sufficient to cover the full tuition but not to exceed $1000/year of a one or two year program in a Wisconsin Technical College.2. Payment of scholarship shall be made directly to the appropriate financial aid officer of the institution of higher education.3. The recipient must maintain a C average or better to fulfill requirement for continuation of the scholarship. Proof of Grade Point

Average must be submitted to the Bank of Brodhead.

FRED AND MARCELLA BROWN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School senior ranking in the upper 1/3 of his/her graduating class. The recipient must have been accepted to a college or technical school program, preferably, in nursing or other allied health career, social work or journalism, where this award will be applied to educational expenses.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of the High School Principal (Chairperson), the President of the Bank of Brodhead or designee, the Chairperson of the English Department and the Chairperson of the Science Department will make the selection. Criteria: 1. Recipient should show an academic record, which clearly demonstrates continued improvement and acceptance of responsibility. 2. It is hoped the recipient will show financial need.AMOUNT: Approximately $2,000.00, half of which will be paid upon successful completion of the first semester plus proof of registration for second semester. In order to receive the second half at the end of a successful 3rd semester and proof of registration for 4th semester, the recipient must request and demonstrate to the satisfaction of the scholarship committee that he/she has remained in good standing and is making firm progress in the academic program. The scholarship will be administered by the Bank of Brodhead.

ESTHER CAIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Brodhead High School graduate(s) entering a one or two year trade, vocational or technical school. SELECTION PROCESS: A selection committee, appointed by the Board of Education, will choose the recipient(s). This committee shall consist of the high school principal(chair), guidance counselor, and other appropriate person(s). Financial need should be a consideration when determining the recipient(s).PAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP: Approximately $750. Two scholarships may be given at the discretion of the selection committee. The combined amount of these awards shall not exceed $750. Paid to the institute of higher education after completion of 1st semester and proof of enrollment for second semester. This scholarship will be administered by the Bank of Brodhead.

JIM CHURCH ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Senior students involved in sports, including cheerleaders and managers, continuing in post-secondary education. These people must have maintained a 2.75 GPA.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee consisting of Missy Kuebli, Lon Lederman, the Athletic Director, Guidance Counselor, Bob Burns ,Wade Boegli and Erin Kammerer. This committee should take into consideration the following items: 1. Dedication 2. Team orientated 3. Personable and outgoing 4. Willing to put in extra timeAMOUNT: Payment of $500. Money to be received upon proof of second semester registration and payment. Contact the high school office for payment. Recipient's name to be inscribed on a plaque in the high school foyer.

OLIVER CHRISTENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School senior planning on any post-secondary education.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A faculty committee made up of the principal, guidance counselor and a faculty member from a vocational area and one from an academic area. Selection should be made with the following in mind: The estate would like to see the scholarship go to a student who is not necessarily in the top 1/4 of his/her class but has shown signs of over achieving for his/her ability. It may well be used to encourage a special education student to seek more education.AMOUNT: $250.00 given 1st semester upon proof of registration.

VERA V. DeVOE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School senior planning to pursue post high school education, technical or a degree program. Student(s) must have maintained a 2.5 GPA or better.APPLICATION: To the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: By a committee of high school faculty, President of the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools. This committee will give preference to the candidates with a known financial need.AMOUNT: Two (2) $500 scholarships are to be awarded upon successful completion of the first semester of the selected course of study and proof of registration for the second semester. This fund is administered by the First Merit of Brodhead and is designed to have principal growth so that in future years additional grants will be available.

EVERSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any high school senior desiring to receive an education and degree through a 4 year program at an university or accredited college. This degree must lead to a profession in the followingvocation groups:1. THEOLOGY - a. ordained minister, priest, rabbi2. MUSIC - a. field of music education3. MEDICALAPPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, with the opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A list of all eligible seniors will be sent to the Everson family for final selection. The family will use the following criteria: 1. Scholastic performance based curriculum 2. Seriousness of purpose. 3. Service leadership to school and community. 4. Honesty and Integrity. 5. Need.AMOUNT: Approximately $300 will be awarded at the beginning of the sophomore year with proof of registration. Please send this information to the high school office.

DONALD FOWLER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School Senior with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA that is planning on attending a 4 year college or university and is pursuing a degree in math, science or health care.

SELECTION PROCESS: By a committee comprised of the high school principal, guidance counselor, math and/or science teacher and one other teacher. AMOUNT: $500 scholarship to be paid after successful completion of the 1st semester and proof of 2nd semester registration. For payment provide information to the high school office.

BRODHEAD FFA ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Senior FFA members at Brodhead High School with plans to continue his/her education in Agriculture or Agriculture related field in a 2-year program, short course or a 4-year program. In order to apply for this scholarship he/she must have 2 or more semesters of Agriculture Education and be an FFA member for one year.APPLICATION: Application for this scholarship must be made through the Ag. Ed. Instructor at Brodhead High School and are due in March 13,2019.

SELECTION PROCESS: Review of applications by FFA Alumni Executive Committee.

AMOUNT: Up to five scholarships of $500.00 to qualified candidates. Payment will be made to school of the student’s choice at beginning of 2nd semester with proof of completion of 1st semester with GPA of 2.0 and registration for 2nd semester. These scholarships(s) are to be used within a 3 year period upon graduation from high school.

BRODHEAD JAYCEE SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any senior who (1) plan to attend a four-year college or university on a full time basis or (2) plan to attend a technical college on a full time basis.APPLICATION: Essay required. A 200-400 word essay on (1) “Your leadership skills”, (2) “What you have done for our community” and (3) “What has living in Brodhead meant to you” must be submitted by April 15th to:

SELECTION PROCESS: A committee made up of the Jaycee Board will make the selection.AMOUNT: One $500 scholarship to be given upon proof (copy of grade report) of successful completion of the 1st semester of school.

MARY AND ESTHER CAIN SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any high school senior interested in pursuing a career in the area of Home Economic (1st priority) or Agriculture (2nd priority) while giving preference to college bound, though vocationalbound students are eligible. If no one is interested, other areas will be considered.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A list of eligible seniors will be selected by: 1. Home Economics Instructor 2. High School Principal 3. High School Guidance Counselor This committee will make the selection based upon:

AMOUNT: Approximately $200 or what is available. The scholarship will be paid as follows: $200.00 - College bound - Beginning of Junior Year $200.00 - 2 year Vocational - Beginning of 2nd year $200.00 - 1 year Vocational - Beginning of 2nd semester.

BRODHEAD MUSIC BOOSTERS SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: A student of the senior graduating class of Brodhead High School who plans to attend an institute of higher learning in the field of music education, performance, or music related field.APPLICATION: Application blanks available through the high school guidance counselor. An questionnaire must accompany the application in order to be considered. Pick up questionnaire from guidance office.SELECTION PROCESS: Based on musical involvement, scholarship, good citizenship and character. In addition to application blank, all candidates will be required to submit a questionnaire. The high school band director, high school choral director, and three members of the Music Boosters will make selection.AMOUNT: Approximately $500. Payment will be made to the student when the student shows verification of admittance to the school of music by letter from the school of music at the institution of attendance and has attained sophomore status in good standing. Said information should be directed to the Brodhead Music Boosters Treasurer.

BRODHEAD MASONIC LODGE AND WISCONSIN MASONIC FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPELIGILIBILTY: All Students attempting to obtain a bachelor degree.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of the School Superintendent, High School Principal and the Guidance Counselor will make the selection based on the following criteria:1.) The recipient must be a graduating student from a Wisconsin High School, display a commendable academic record and the potential to successfully continue achievement in a post-secondary college or university. This includes a junior college or technical college when the full credit load is acceptable to a degree granting institution. The attending college may be public or private and the course of study must lead toward a bachelor degree.2.) The academic course of study selected should be the choice of the student and not a factor in the selection process. It is deemed that the arts, letters & sciences, education, agriculture, business and etc. are all an integral part of the American way of life.3.) The recipient will have demonstrated leadership ability and service as evidenced by school, community and church or synagogue involvement.AMOUNT: $1,000 scholarship to be paid in January upon receipt of proof of enrollment.

FRED AND MABEL HAHLEN SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Seniors going on to any post-secondary education. APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A Committee comprised of: A. Steve Wallace B. High School Principal C. High School Guidance Counselor D. At least one other faculty member selected by the PrincipalCriteria: A. Moral responsibility B. Honesty C. Need D. Character and citizenship E. Active participation in church related groups and/or activities.AMOUNT: $300 payable upon successful completion of first semester plus proof of second semester registration.

MARGARET MARY KLETZIEN AWARDELIGIBILITY: A senior girl who has participated a minimum of two years in girls’ athletics, one of which must be her senior year.APPLICATION: Above eligibility is automatic application. SELECTION PROCESS: Selected by: A. Girls athletic coaches B. Principal of Brodhead High School C. Senior class advisor D. Faculty member that has had the nominee for a period of one year, that year to include Junior or Senior year. E. Helene Kletzien Gyarmaty of Brookfield, WI. Criteria: 1. Demonstration of excellence in athletics 2. Seriousness of purpose

KUHN NORTH AMERICA TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead Area High School graduating Senior who plans to pursue advanced technical education in a manufacturing related field (i.e.: welding, machine tool, mechanical design/drafting, etc.)APPLICATION: Through the High School guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: Applications of all eligible Seniors who apply will be forwarded to Kuhn North America management for final selection.AMOUNT: One $500 scholarship will be awarded to the individual upon proof of successful completion (minimum grade point average of "C") of the first semester and proof of second semester enrollment. This information must be presented to Kuhn North America for payment of the scholarship.

STANLEY W. AND SELMA B. KNIGHT SCHOLARSHIPELIGILBILITY: Student must be: 1.) Graduating Senior, 2.) Pursuing a bachelor degree in Engineering SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of the high school counselor, principal and industrial technology department chair will use the following criteria to aid in selection: 1.) Financial need, 2.) Academic Achievement, 3.) Citizenship in school and community.PAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP: $500.00 will be awarded to the individuals upon proof of successful completion of the first semester and proof of enrollment for the second semester.

KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School Senior planning on attending college or technical college full time. Students must have maintained a 2.5 or higher GPA in high school. This scholarship is not considered on a need basis.APPLICATION: Above eligibility is automatic applicationSELECTION PROCESS: All students eligible will have their name submitted to the staff for a vote. The staff will vote for the top two students who: - Demonstrated outstanding character - Demonstrated service/involvement- Has been an outstanding person - In the community- Is kind, considerate and caring to others - In the school- In their churchAMOUNT: There will be two scholarships awarded each year. They will be awarded upon successful completion of the first semester (2.0 GPA or greater) and proof of registration provided to the high school office. There will be approximately $1,000 divided as follows:Two college student’s 50%/50%Two Technical College students 50%/50% One College/ One Technical 66%/34%

RAY C., MAUDE M., AND GENEVIEVE LYONS SCHOLARSHIPELIIBILITY: A graduate or graduates of Brodhead High School who will be attending either college, vocational or trade school.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor's office, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: Committee of high school faculty, President of the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools. Selection will be based on character and willingness to work as a primary consideration rather than scholarship.AMOUNT: The scholarship(s) can be for a limited number of months or may carry through for several years, as determined by the committee, for post graduate work in any field. The committee will have broadpowers and will determine the amount of the scholarship and may also withdraw the scholarship if the recipient is not taking advantage of the opportunities offered.This year, approximately $27,000 will be available.

The committee shall determine the number of recipients and the scholarship value to each recipient. Inorder to receive the scholarship, the recipient(s) must provide 1st semester grades and have completed the 1st semester with a 2.0 or better GPA, carry 12 credits plus proof of second semester enrollmentto the Bank of Brodhead. In the case of multiple year recipient(s), said recipient(s) would be paid by providing first semester grades and proof of second semester enrollment for each of the subsequent years.

DWIGHT AND MARIE NEWCOMER SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY: Any graduating senior at Brodhead High School who plans to attend college or technical school. Student must have maintained a 2.5 GPA to be eligible.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of Dan Newcomer, the high school Principal and two members of the high school faculty will make the selection. The committee should try to recognize a student who would show the potential for success in their chosen field.AMOUNT: Approximately $200 to be paid at the beginning of the second semester by presenting proof of successful completion of first semester and proof of second semester registration to Mr. Dan Newcomer.

MEGAN MIRANDA NEWCOMER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any graduating Senior of Brodhead High School who is a resident of the School District of Brodhead and will be attending a FOUR (4) year institute of high learning, pursuing a degree in liberalarts, education or mental health. Student must have maintained a 2.5 GPA or higher during high school and at the institute of higher learning. Ongoing involvement in school, community, church, music,athletics, or student government. Student who demonstrates generosity, leadership, good character and is personable and outgoing.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A list of all eligible Seniors who apply will be given to a committee of the Brodhead School District consisting of: 1. Two (2) High School staff members. 2. High School Principal 3. High School Guidance Counselor 4. High School Athletic DirectorSaid committee will develop a final list of candidates and shall present said list to Daniel Newcomer family (Daniel Newcomer, Laurel Tinkle, Elizabeth Amstutz, Peter Newcomer) for final selection of the recipient.AMOUNT: $750.00 Said scholarship will consist of One (1) payment and shall be paid directly to the recipient. Payment of said scholarship shall be paid at the beginning of the first semester of Junior year, by presenting proof of successful completion of the first two years of college or university plus proof of registration. In the event the recipient should change his/her major prior to admittance in the aforementioned fields, said money shall be awarded to Lawrence University, Appleton, WI to a fund previously established in Megan's name.

GARY NELSON OLIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School senior planning on attending college or technical college full time. Students must have maintained a 2.5 or higher GPA in high school. This scholarship is not considered on a need basis. Special Education students will be considered for assistance based on personal merit and desire for further education. Their eligibility will be based strictly on faculty recommendation. APPLICATION: Students are to complete a written application provided by the guidance counselor. All students who meet the eligibility requirements and submit an application will be considered.SELECTION PROCESS: All students eligible will have their name submitted to the staff for a vote. The staff is encouraged to have a bias towards Business Majors and Technical School Applicants. The staff will recommend four students to the Olin family who

- Demonstrate outstanding character. - Demonstrate consistent service/involvement- Have been outstanding people. - In the community- Kind, considerate and caring of others. - In their church- In the school

The Olin family will then select up to two candidates to receive the Gary Nelson Olin Scholarship in the amount of $500 per year for up to four years. The recipient shall remain in school and in good standing to continue the scholarship. The scholarship will be paid out upon successful completion of the first semester and proof of registration for the second semester of each of the four years. MELISSA O'ROURKE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

GLENN PFISTERER AWARDELIGIBILITY: A senior from Brodhead High School who plans to continue their education.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: Superintendent, High School Principal. Guidance Counselor, and two faculty members. Selection based on scholarship, seriousness of purpose, service leadership, loyalty and the valedictorian is not eligible. A scholarship of $250 will be awarded and the recipient's name will be added to a plaque located in the high school foyer.AMOUNT: $250.00

SANDRA K. & JOHN E. POPANZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY: Any Senior student graduating from Brodhead High School or the re-organization thereof is eligible. The student must be going into a medical related field through vocational, technical or college training. If no one is eligible in the medical area, then the broad computer science field may be used for eligibility.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance office, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of the Brodhead Fire Chief (chairperson), Superintendent of Schools and the Pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church will make the selection. Selection will be based on the following criteria: 1. Scholarship 2. Good Citizenship 3. Character 4. Academic potential in medical field or computer scienceIn order to qualify for payment of the scholarship, the individual selected must successfully complete one (1) year of training in his/her program.AMOUNT: Approximately $200.00 to be paid in Sept. following one (1) successful year of study in the candidate's program thereby showing the ability for that field. In the event that the candidate is in aOne (1) year program only, the payment will be made in August after receipt of his/her vocational/technical diploma.

MICHAEL J. RICHMOND ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: A senior planning to attend a 4 year college having lettered his/her Junior and Senior year in athletics (excluding cheerleaders or managers). Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor. SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of the Athletic Director (chairperson), head coach of a male sports and head coach of a female sport will make the selection. The following are prioritized: 1. A strong work ethic 2. Has shown outstanding achievement as an athlete 3. Must have shown evidence of team effort. 4. Prefer someone who has excelled in more than one sport.AMOUNT: $250 to be paid at the beginning of the junior year by presenting proof of successful completion of the first two years. The funds will be held by the School District of Brodhead.

TODD RODERICK SCHOLARSHIP FUNDELIGIBILITY: A student of the senior graduation class of Brodhead High School who plans to attend an institute of high learning in the field of music. APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.

SELECTION PROCESS: Selection will be made by the High School Principal, High School Band Director, High School Choral Director, and High School Guidance Counselor. Selection will be based on musical ability, scholarship, good citizenship, character and need.AMOUNT: Open, but approximately $200.

LEO SCHEBERLE AND BESSIE M. SCHEBERLE SCHOLARSHIP FUND ELIGIBILITY: Seniors at Brodhead High School who are planning on attending a college, university or trade and vocational school.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee of faculty, school board president, and high school principal(chairperson) will make the selection based on the following: The committee should consider need, character and willingness to work as a primary consideration rather than scholarship. However, the committee has wide discretion in its selection process.AMOUNT: The committee has the widest possible discretion in using the income of the fund. Scholarships may be awarded in any field for any period of time and the committee may withdraw the scholarship if not being used properly. The amount varies annually and may be given to one or more students.This year, approximately $650 will be available. Payment will be made in January of freshman year by presenting proof of successful completion plus 2nd semester registration.

SIDNEY STAIR SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY: Any Brodhead High School senior whether going on for more education or not. This deserving student shall not have already received a scholarship or award.APPLICATION: No application - all are eligible. SUGAR RIVER BANKELIGIBILITY: Any graduating Senior of Brodhead High School who will be attending a 4 year Institute of Higher Learning or a Technical Training Institution shall be eligible to apply for scholarship. They must be pursuing the business or finance field and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If no one is interested, other areas will be considered.APPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of one of the Vice Presidents of the Sugar River Bank, the High School Guidance Counselor, and one other employee from the Bank. The Vice President of the bank will be the chairperson.

AMOUNT: Upon successful completion of the first year at chosen school, and presenting proof of attendance for the second year to the Sugar River Bank-Brodhead, a check for $300 will be given to the student.

WALLACE-CULLES-MAVEUS VFW POST #6858 ELIGIBILITY: Brodhead High School graduate or graduates entering one or two year trade, vocational or technical school, or UW Ag-farm short courseAPPLICATION: Through the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: VFW Scholarship committee.AMOUNT: One $500 scholarship from VFW Post #6858. Monies awarded in 2 equal payments by presenting proof of successful completion of the first semester and proof of enrollment for the 2nd semester and then again at successful completion of the school year.

THE WAHLIN FOUNDATION, INC. SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any 2 seniors who (1) plan to attend a four-year college or university or (2) plan to attend a vocational/technical school.APPLICATION: To the high school guidance counselor, opening date to be announced.SELECTION PROCESS: A committee made up of the high school principal, guidance counselor and other faculty members will make the selection. Academic performance and financial need will be considered. AMOUNT: Two Scholarships will be awarded. A $5,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a senior who will pursue a degree at a four year college. A $2,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a senior who will attend a vocational/technical school. Both awards will be made in a lump sum payable upon satisfactory completion of the first semester. Both awards will be made out to the institutions attended. If amounts exceed the amount of tuition, the remainder will be used towards other expenses related to schooling, for example, books, boarding etc… The foundation will complete disbursement upon receipt of the first semester grades and confirmation of registration for second semester.

PAUL AND ALICE ROEMER MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: A student of the senior graduating class of Brodhead High School who plans to attend an institute of higher learning and enrolls in one of the institutions’ instrumental , vocal musical, or dance organizations as part of their full time enrollment.APPLICATION: Application blanks are available through the high school guidance counselor.SELECTION PROCESS: Based on musical ability, scholarship, good citizenship and character. In addition to the application page, all candidates will be required to submit a paragraph on how the candidate’s involvement in the music program at Brodhead High School has been a benefit to them. The high school band director, high school choral director, and Paul and Alice Roemer will make the selection.AMOUNT: $1000. Payment of $500 will be made to the full time student before the first semester when the student shows verification of enrollment in a post-secondary institutional instrumental, vocal musical, or dance group by letter from the school of music at the institution of attendance. Payment of another $500 will take place before second semester upon presentation of the recipient’s good standing (“C” average or better) from first semester and verification of enrollment in an institutional instrumental, vocal musical, or dance group for the second semester. The student must be registered as a full time student. “Full time” is defined as carrying “12” credits or more per semester. ADMINISTRATION: Paul and Alice Roemer will make direct payment to the scholarship recipient after verification of enrollment and grades from Brodhead High School.

BRODHEAD SPORTS BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Any senior of Brodhead High School who has lettered in at least one sport during his/her senior year or any senior cheerleaders/dance team who has lettered during his/her senior year and is furthering his/her education by at least nine months beyond high school. Consideration will also be given to any senior who has volunteered his/her time with the Sports Booster Club or assisted in any way with the Brodhead Youth Sports programs. The candidates must be in good scholastic standing and have no co-curricular code violations during their entire high school career.SELECTION PROCESS: A list of all eligible seniors will be reduced to 3 male students and 3 female students by the Athletic Director and the High School Guidance Counselor. Final 3 male students and 3 female students will be asked to fill out a short essay

and list their community service, and volunteer time for youth sports programs or athletic events(ball tournaments, track meets, etc.). If the eligible students cannot be agreed upon then a list of 6 students will be presented to the board. Final selection will be voted on by the 9 board members of the Sports Booster Club.AMOUNT: 1 scholarship of $500.00 will be given to a male student and 1 scholarship of $500.00 will be given to a female student. These will be awarded at the beginning of the 2nd semester with proof of registration.

BRODHEAD WRESTLING CLUB SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY: Must have 2 or more years of youth wrestling in any club. Must complete 4 full seasons of high school wrestling, injuries can’t not be held against you. A written essay must be submitted on “how wrestling helped you in life “or “what you have learned from wrestling to carry on in life”. Must graduate Brodhead High School Any graduating wrestler that is furthering their education (vocational college/ 2 year, 4 year college, Military, etc..) SELECTION PROCESS: Athletic Director, High School Principal and High School wrestling coach.AMOUNT: $300.00 will be given to the selected applicants. These will be awarded at the beginning of the 2nd semester with proof of registration to the Brodhead High School Office.

BRODHEAD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH WOMEN’S SCHOLARSHIPELIGIBILITY:

* Senior status with plans to continue education after high school* 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average* Church participation as demonstrated on application* Community service as demonstrated on application* Student does not need to be a member of Brodhead united Methodist Church

SELECTION PROCESS: A committee comprised of representatives of the Brodhead United Methodist Church Women’s organization and the high school counselor will review and select an applicant based on the above criteria.

AMOUNT: $300.00 one-time payment, payable prior to fall of the recipient’s freshman year of college. Pick up payment in the high school office.
