Notes p132: Q1= whenever you multiply by a zero your answer will always be zero.Q2= Whenever you multiply by 1 your answer will remain the same eg 34 x 1 = 34Q3 & Q4= When you multiply by 10 a zero is added to the original number eg 12 x10= 120, 33 x 10=330
Notes p 133 If you multiply 4 x 5 you will get 20. You will get the same answer if you swap the numbers around 5 x 4 is still equal to 20.

In Q3 and Q4 – we are shown that 6 groups of 4 is the same as 4 groups of 4 added to 2 groups of 4. Eg 6x4 = 4x4 added to 2x4 Or using brackets 6x4 = (4x4) + (2x4)

X4 28Q3 Multiplying bigger numbers can be done by breaking them into 2 parts - tens and units - for example 14 x 3 = ?The number 14 has 1 ten and 4 units (10 + 4 ) Now you can multiply the 10 and the 4 separately eg 10 x 3 = 30 then 4 x 3 = 12When you add these 2 answers together you get 30 + 12= 42 which is the correct answer to 14 x 3 = 4214 x 3 = (10 x 3) + (4 x 3) = 42 ( 30 ) + ( 12 ) = 42

Notes- p135. This is the same as p134 except instead of writing it across the page we will write in going downI will use the same example as before - 14 x 3. So we have learned that 14 is 1 ten and 4 units and each part must be multiplied by 3. 14 X3 12 (4 x 3) I multiplied the unit 4 by 3 and got 12+ 30 ( 10 x 3) I multiplied the 10 by 3 and got 30 42 (14 x 3) Now I added 12 and 30 and got 42

P. 57. Possessive pronouns show that something belongs to someone. We use words like mine, yours, his, hers, ours, yours, theirs. For example. This hat belongs to me. It is mine.
English Wordwise 3. P86 Recounts- Read the Recount passage- My School Tour. Let’s look at how Cian planned his recount. He used questions like Who, What, Where, When, Why and How? In your copy plan a recount of a trip you remember going on. Use questions like Cian’s to help you plan your recount. Don’t forget to sort your recount into paragraphs using at least 3- beginning, middle and ending, if not more. Remember capital letters at the start of each sentence and full stop, exclamation mark or question mark at the end.
