School Club: Hungry Hungry Helpers
Giving the hungry a helping hand.
We are here to help in any way that we can when it comes to all your food eating needs! If you are running low on food, or need some help for the
holidays, we are the club for you. Our club accepts all canned goods items/non-perishable goods, as
well as any donations made. All items and donations will be given away at food drives and
events.
Club Description/Purpose:
Club Meeting Dates/Times/Locations:
• Club meetings are held every Thursday at 3pm in the school auditorium.
• Club food drives are held on the third Friday of every month in the Student Activities Center from 10am to 2pm.• All canned goods and non-perishable items may be
dropped off at these events, as well as any items that need to be picked up by anyone.
Major Food Drive Events:
• Nov. 19th – Nov 25th, 2015: week long food drive to collect food for thanksgiving.
• Dec. 14th- Dec. 18th, 2015: week long food drive to collect goods for the Christmas/ New Year holiday season.
All items dropped off during these days can be dropped off in either the labeled boxes in the library or the Student activities center.
Acceptable items include: canned goods and non-perishable items.
Donations will be accepted at food drives/events.
Major Food Drive Events Continued:
• June 29th – July3rd, 2015: 4th of July food drive, goods can be dropped off all week in the student activity center and a larger event will be held on Friday the 3rd.
• This event on the 3rd will include: the food drive, a petting zoo, a bouncy house, and a bake sale.
Event will take place in the parking lot outside of the Lone Star College Cy-Fair campus in the L and M sections of the parking lot.
