Akankah mereka dibiarkan berkelana hilir mudik? Jawabannya tergantung orangtua masing masing.Sejumlah tempat berlomba-lomba menyediakan fasilitas rekreasi. Bahkan sarana transportasi pun ikut menambah jumlah armada dan tempat duduk.

Nak, mau kemana?

Back in January 2010, virtually all the world's major electronics manufacturers touted 3-D as the next evolution in home entertainment. Showing off everything from 3-D compatible Blu-ray players, to state-of-the-art razor-thin 3-D televisions, these brands are hoping to drive costumers to throw down their credit cards to replace their current 2-D counterparts sitting in their living room.

Manfaat OUTBOUND

AUTOMOTIVE & TRANSPORTATION

Every car has its own shelf life, usually dictated by its owner. Some guys like to keep a car for a certain number of years, say five or 10. Other guys insist that after a certain amount of miles (like 100,000), a car is done. The truth is that knowing exactly when you should dump your car is a little more complicated. Here are some factors that you'll want to consider.Repair billsRepair bills come in two varieties: the one big hit or the steady stream of smaller ones. If you're looking at a single large expense, it often pays to get a second opinion from another mechanic. Doing so will help you to determine whether or not you're getting a good price on the repair and if it's likely to last you.Sometimes, you shouldn't wait for a mechanic to tell you that there's something wrong with your car. If you're picking up on a weird noise when you drive, the odds are good that you're going to have a problem soon - if you don't already. Different sounds can mean different things, but if there's one common denominator to car noises, it's that they don't get better, they get worse. If you hear something odd clanking or rattling around, get on top of it immediately and take your car in right away. An early catch can mean a cheap catch, and might save you from having to dump your car before its time.RustNot only does rust on a car never disappear, it spreads like a disease. Check the likely breeding grounds for rust, like your wheel wells and fenders. Once rust sets in, the safety of your car declines - along with its value. Dumping a rusting car sooner rather than later is always a good bet.PracticalityCars are like toys for guys, so it's easy to forget that they serve a basic purpose. At the end of the day, you need a car that can help you accomplish what you need to get done. If the only problem with your sports car is the size of your family, that's enough of a problem to dump the thing.Conversely, if you're a single guy, that SUV might seem ideal for your road-tripping lifestyle. But if you live in a neighborhood without ample street parking, maybe you're better off with a smaller car.Make a list of the things that you need your car to do, and then ask yourself if your current ride meets those needs. If it does, it's probably a keeper.Major repairsWhile most anything on a car can be fixed, not every repair on a car is cost-effective. If you're looking at something major like a new engine, a new transmission or a serious repair to the frame, it may pay to just get a new car instead. How can you be sure which route is the better one? Well, one way is to weigh the cost of the repair against the value of the car.

Another perspective to take on the problem is to total up the amount of money you've spent on the car to date. Remember; a car isn't an investment - as its value is constantly depreciating, it's actually quite the opposite. So every time you put cash into your automobile, you need to know that you'll get that much more use out of it.SafetySafety should be paramount when it comes to your car. If there's something that's unsafe about it, you need to take immediate action. After all, it's your life on the line. But don't go thinking that you necessarily have to dump the car. Check with a mechanic to see how much it would cost to fix the problem and make the car safe again. Not only can this save you the expense of getting a new car, but it might even help you get a little extra for your current one, because an unsafe car is worth next to nothing.Gas expensesIf you've had your car for a while, chances are that gas prices were significantly lower when you bought it. If the cost of filling up is putting a dent in your wallet, it might be a good idea to switch to a more fuel efficient vehicle. Do your homework and find out exactly how many miles you're getting to the gallon. Not only will this give you an indication of how much your current ride is really costing you, if you do end up shopping for a new car, you'll be able to determine your savings.PartsHigh-performance car owners buy their vehicles with the expectation of frequent repairs. They also usually know that those repairs will be costly, because theirs are complicated machines that either operate at their peak, or not at all. If you have one of those cars, you're probably on a first name basis with your mechanic. But if the repairs have accumulated beyond what you can afford, maybe you'll need to give up your baby. time for a new set of wheels?Throughout this whole process, you're going to have to rely somewhat on your mechanic. That might not be something you're entirely comfortable with, but that's why it's a good idea to find a mechanic that you can trust before you need him. When it comes time to sell your car, you'll know that you're selling it at a time that makes sense both in terms of safety and cost.

Choosing the right bike isn't easy. Road bike or mountain bike? Aluminum, steel or titanium

frame? Single gear or multi-gear? There are nearly as many kinds of bicycles as there are kinds of breakfast cereal; it's

enough to make anybody's head spin. The following will help you get a handle on cycles and their myriad options before you select

your steed. what kind of rider are you? This may seem like an obvious question, but many guys walk into a shop looking for a nice, cheap cruiser and walk out with a $2,500 full-suspension downhill monster. Figure out what kind of riding you're going to do and stick to your guns. If you want to take leisurely rides through the park, don't get research different bikesCruiserCruisers are made for slow, relaxing cruises. They often have very upright riding positions that are easy on the back, one fixed gear, and big, cushy tires. Cruisers are probably the heaviest bikes you can get (excluding tandem bikes), with big beefy steel frames and heavy parts. Touring Road BikeThe tourer is great for extra-long bike trips; a relatively light and nimble skinny-tire road bike with a more relaxed riding position than a sporty road machine. Most even have mounts for racks or travel bags. Sport Road BikeIf you're after pure speed and handling, go for a sport road bike. These bikes are typically very light and have "forward" riding positions that can be hard on your back if you're just getting started. City or Comfort BikeCity or comfort bikes are made for practical trips around town or commuting. Both are closely related to the cruiser and the mountain bike, having beefier frames and wider tires than a pure road bike, and more upright riding positions. Mountain BikeMountain bikes are the descendents of cruisers - beefed-up bikes made to conquer hills and trails. Some are almost as light as road bikes, but most descent examples fall between the city bike and road bike in

weight. Some are equipped with shock absorbers (front, rear or both) to soak up bumps and almost all of them have tons of gears to make hill climbing a breeze. A good all-around mountain bike will do double duty as an off-road machine and a great commuter - if you've got two sets of tires - and will also be a great ride for getting in shape. Downhill BikeDownhill bikes are shock absorbers on wheels. They are made to hurtle down steep, slippery mountain slopes at insane speeds. They are remarkably good at their job, but not much else. Downhill bikes are made for people with lots of mountain biking experience, and are not a good choice for beginners.look at the optionsOnce you've figured out which species of steed you're going to ride, consider the options. Bike manufacturers love to invent novel frame materials, suspension systems, and sometimes useless gimmicks. It's a good idea to know a little about them before you head to the shop.Frame MaterialsSteel: Steel is the old standard for bike frames. It's exceptionally strong, flexible and sturdy. Good (read: expensive) steel frames are even light. But steel can rust if you're not careful. Aluminum: Aluminum is good; it's very light, stiff and corrosion-resistant. Aluminum used to be slightly more expensive than a good steel frame, but nowadays even lower-end bikes are made of the material. Alloy: A lot of manufacturers have spent millions developing their own secret recipes for lightweight, strong metal alloys. They can be a mixture of aluminum and other elements, or variations of steel. Titanium: This space-age material is lighter, stronger and more flexible than steel, but it's expensive. Titanium bikes are for serious riders who want ultimate performance. Most riders won't be able to justify the added expense of titanium. Carbon fiber: Carbon fiber is known for its strength, light weight and resistance to corrosion. Like titanium, it's usually only for professionals. A full carbon fiber frame may be over the top, but a carbon fiber fork for your road bike will smooth out the bumps and shouldn't put a huge strain on your wallet.A good, honest bike shop will answer any questions you might have after reading through this article and scanning manufacturers' websites. After all that, you'll be ready to get your ride.

Now that the first 3-D televisions have hit retail shelves, many of you might wonder whether it’s time for an upgrade. In general, considering the vast improvements most household electronics make just in the first few years of their release (think of iPods and the first HDTVs), our recommendation is to deny your new technology lust for a year longer at the minimum -- until several issues related to 3-D televisions get sorted out. Since we're not in the practice of dishing out advice without support, read on to learn about the major factors influencing our recommendation to stick with 2-D for the time being.1- Buying now means you're paying expensive early-adopter pricesEveryone knows that first-gen technologies often charge an exorbitant premium to early-adopters for the opportunity to own the latest and greatest. Remember when the original iPhone sold for $500? Well, the few 3-D televisions currently being sold by the likes of Samsung, Panasonic and Sony are no different. Costing roughly 30% to 40% more than 2-D HDTVs of similar sizes, 3-D televisions currently have a significant cost factor that is sure to quickly drop as manufacturing costs go down and the technology improves over the next two years. We know you work hard for your money, so don't spend it unnecessarily on a new set since you'll undoubtedly be kicking yourself for what you paid very soon in the future. 2- Lack of 3-D contentOwning a 3-D television is pointless without having 3-D content to watch on it. Unfortunately, 3-D consumers now have very little to watch that can show off their new screens multi-dimensional tricks. In terms of Blu-rays, at the time of this article's publication, only Coraline, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Monsters vs. Aliens are available in 3-D. On the cable and broadcast side, there is virtually nothing available except for a few promotional on-demand clips of major sporting events like the Masters, which still depends on your provider. Subsequently there's no need to rush into buying a new set, since you could watch almost all of the 3-D content that's out there over the span of just one weekend. That said, DirectTV, ESPN and Discovery networks have all announced their plans to launch 3-D channels, so this content drought won't last forever.3- 3-D glasses are expensive and not cross-brand compatibleCurrently, the 3-D television viewing experience hinges on wearing 3-D glasses. However,

the technology of the glasses has come a long way from the white paper versions with red and blue cellophane lenses. Subsequently,

individual pairs for the latest 3-D televisions on the market range anywhere from $100 to $250 per pair. Since half of the fun of 3-D will always be watching content with friends or family, the cost of owning multiple pairs of glasses gets insanely steep quickly. To make matters worse, Samsung has announced that its 3-D glasses will not be compatible with 3-D televisions from other brands and the same holds

true for using Panasonic glasses with a Samsung. This limits the ability for guests to bring their own sets if you happen to buy different brands. Interestingly enough, a company named XpanD claims to be releasing a

universal pair this summer, which should work across all brands. Needless to say, waiting for the cost of these critical accessories to go down and become more universal is just another reason to hold off on 3-D.4- Just because your TV supports 3-D doesn't mean your other AV equipment willOne thing most consumers don't realize is that owning a 3-D television is just one piece of the home theater puzzle you'll need to upgrade in order enjoy 3-D Blu-ray movies. That's because 3-D Blu-ray content requires a new signal transferring standard called HDMI 1.4 in order to work. This new standard is necessary in order to support the greater video and audio bandwidths found in 3-D content. Due to this change, consumers will also have to purchase a new 3-D Blu-ray player in order to watch these new high-def movies on their brand-new TV. Plus, if they own a 5.1 surround sound system and want to enjoy the same home theater-like sound, they'll have to upgrade their receiver to one that supports HDMI 1.4 as well. So keep in mind that upgrading spending won't stop with just a new TV. One exception to this rule is the PLAYSTATION 3, which Sony has announced will be capable of supporting 3-D content through a soon-to-be-released firmware update.5- First generation 3-D TVs have poor 3-D viewing anglesThe viewing angle of a particular television set was once a stat many electronic reviewers worried about when HDTVs first hit the market. This problem quickly became irrelevant as the display technology improved. Due to the way a 3-D visual effect is created by this new technology and perceived by our eyes, the issue of viewing angle is once again a big cause for concern with 3-D television. We'll avoid getting overly detailed on the whys and instead just say that as it currently stands, viewers must be sitting directly in front of their television to get the maximum 3-D effect and avoid eye strain. This is bad news for families used to plopping down in a wide semi circle around the tube to watch a movie. It also doesn't bode well for 3-D Super Bowl parties where the couch space is limited. The good news is that manufacturers are aware of the current limitations and are sure to improve it in following generations.

COMPUTER, CELLULAR & ACCESSORIES

Lakukan seperti halnya sedang memotret. Sebagai panduan, gunakan The Rule of Thirds.

Personal Insight

by James Gwee

Herb Cohen, a well known trainer in the skills of negotiation tells us that there are some basic principles of negotiation that all negotiators need to know. He calls these basic principles “The Nucleus of Negotiation”. The basic principles contained in the Nucleus of Negotiation can be easily remembered by the word TIP. In this articles, we shall discuss some of the principles contained in TIP. TIP : “T” Stands For “TIME”One of the most important elements in a negotiation is “TIME”. Herb Cohen teaches us that there are 6 Rules That Deal with Time.Rule 1 - The Dateline RuleIn any negotiation, the dateline is very important. It is because people have datelines, that is why they take action and make a decision. If there were no datelines, negotiators will take their time to make a decision, sometimes, even not make a decision. So datelines are very important in negotiations. This means that before you start you negotiation, find out whether the other side has a dateline to meet. If they have no dateline, then be prepared that you may not get a decision, or the decision may take a very, very long time !Rule 2 - The Other Side, Regardless Of Their Outward Calm, Always Has A Dateline Of SortsSometimes when you ask them, the other side tells you that they have no dateline and they are not in a hurry. Don’t panic ! They DO have a dateline. They are just bluffing. If they do not have a dateline, in most cases, they would not even bother to see you to discuss and negotiate with you ! They’re masking it ! It’s your job as a good negotiator (and a competent detective) to ask and probe from various angles to find out the actual dateline. Sometimes you make not get the answer directly from the person with whom you are negotiating. Sometimes you may have to ask other people in their organization, their secretary, the other managers, finance department, the production department. There ALWAYS is a dateline. Find that out.Rule 3 - The Side with a Tighter Timeframe is at a DisadvantageSo after you have found out the other sides dateline, you have to compare their dateline with yours. After you have compared, there could be the following scenerios :a. Your dateline is nearer (your timeframe is tighter) than the other side’sb. Your dateline is further (their timeframe is tighter) than the other side’sRule 3 states that the side with the tighter timeframe is at a disadvantage. This is because the side with the tighter timeframe is under greater pressure to close the deal. They are nearer to the dateline. Therefore since they are under greater pressure, they tend to compromise more so that we can come to an agreement. So if your situation is (a), then you are at a disadvantageIf your situation is (b), then the other side is at a disadvantage. Therefore, be very careful when you give away information to the other side. If they know that your situation is (a), then they will take their time and delay their decision and you will be under even greater pressure to compromise. You will be disadvantaged. On the other hand, if your situation is actually (a), but you tell them that you have a longer timeframe that they, then although (in fact) your timeframe is tighter, they will think that their timeframe is tighter and therefore they will be under greater pressure than you ! (Because they think that they are in scenario (b)). Therefore although actually you are in a weaker position, they think that they are in the weaker position. One thing you could do if you have a tighter dateline is to discuss with your boss to give you a longer timeframe so that you now regain the advantage when you negotiate. So you see, datelines have a very important impact on negotiations. Even a simple information such as datelines can be used as a negotiation too for bargaining power !Therefore give information wisely !Rule 4 - All Datelines Should Be AnalyzedSo you see, negotiators who understand the importance of datelines may not be telling you the truth about their datelines !Therefore whenever the other side tells you their datelines, you not immediately believe, accept and follow it blindly. They may be bluffing you ! Rule 4 says that “All Datelines Should Be Analyzed”. Again, be a detective. Ask more questions, cross check with other people, be observant. If you ask enough question, ask enough people, cross check, are observant, you will often detect inconsistencies in what they are saying. Inconsistencies are clear signs that they be bluffing about the dateline.Once you know that they are bluffing, and they know that you know that they are bluffing, the negotiation power will dramatically shift to your advantage.Rule 5 - Generally Patience PaysYes, this is a very important rule in negotiation. Be patient. Be cool. Be calm. Don’t get emotional. An emotional negotiator makes emotional (not logical / illogical) decisions that they often regret afterwards. If the other side knows that you have an emotional temperament, they will try to get you emotional. Be aware of that. Do not be trapped. Do not allow them to do that. Remind yourself to stay cool. Smile. Let them know that you know their trick. Once they realize that you can see through

their trick, they may be embarrassed and will stop doing it. But if you get emotional, then you are falling for the bait and you may end up making irrational decisions. So be patience – do not get emotional, even when provoked.Rule 6 - A Proposal Tended Closer to the Dateline Has More Credibility This rule is so true. When you want to show to the other party that you are making your very last offer, it is better to give them this offer as near as possible to the dateline. This shows that that you have thought through the matter very carefully and seriously and that is absolutely your last offer.Just like when we go shopping for a dress. After we have bargained and there doesn’t seem to be an agreeable price, the sales girl will wait until just as we are about to walk out of the shop before calling us back to give us her last offer. Therefore, if you want to show the other side that you are giving all that you can give, wait until the very last moment to (very close to the dateline) to inform them about this.Giving your last offer closer to the dateline has another advantage. It gives the other side very little time to bargain with you some more ! And since they are faced with the dateline, they tend to accept your last offer. So remember Rule 6 when you have to give your very last offer ! TIP : “I” Stands For “INFORMATION”

It’s a fact that INPUT changes OUTPUT. The Information (INPUT) that you get will surely directly or indirectly affect your Action, Strategy and Behaviour (OUTPUT) ! Likewise, the information (INPUT) that the other sides has will also affect their Action, Strategy and Behaviour (OUTPUT). Therefore you must spend your time probing for information, listening carefully for important information that the other side may (carelessly) give to you. Since INPUT changes OUTPUT, you may also want to give the relevant information because the information that you give to them will determine their expectations and their behaviour. So what expectations do you want to give to them ? How do you want them to behave ? Give information intelligent to that it will be to your advantage. So pay attention, concentrate and stay tuned all the time ! People get more careless with information when they lose their concentration. People lose their concentration when they are tired. So before a negotiation session, make sure you get enough sleep/rest. Better still, negotiate with the other side when you are at your fittest and most alert and when you know that they are most tired.INPUT changes OUTPUT. Giving information to the other side may show that you trust them. Therefore information can be used as a tool to enhance trust and relationship. Likewise be aware that if the other side is giving you information liberally, understand that they are trying to build trust. So again, pay attention to the information that you give and receive.TIP : “P” Stands For “POWER”POWER is your ability to influence the behaviour of the other side. First of all, you must realize that whatever your situation in the negotiation, you ALWAYS have power. Even if you do not seem to have power and all the odds are against you, you STILL have power. How come ? Because there are 2 types of Power :• RealPower(becausethesituationisreallyinyourfavour)• PerceivedPower(youdon’tactuallyhavethepower, buttheothersidedoesn’tknow.Theythink

that you have more power than they !)So you see, even when you have no power, you can create an impression where you seem to have power. The truth is that we tend to UNDER-ESTIMATE our own power when we are negotiating and we tend to OVER-ESTIMATE the power of the other side !You know what ? The other side is thinking EXACTLY the same thing about you ! So since they are already thinking that you have more power than they do, why not just go ahead and pretend that they are right ! When they already have that thinking, it is easier to “fool” them ! All you have to do is pretend and they’ll say in their hearts “See, I told you he has more power than me!”, and they’ll already be psychologically defeated !So you see, negotiating is as much skills as it is a mind game !ConclusionThe next time you prepare for a negotiation, bear in mind the Nucleus of Negotiation. Remember TIP.

Happy Negotiating !!

The main thing is to pay attention, pay clear attention to everything you see. Notice what no one else notices and you’ll know what no one else knows

cover menghadap depan sehingga mudah dilihat.

Inilah cara mudah menjaga kesehatan jiwa.Temuan tersebut dipublikasikan situs Journal of Proteome Research (ACS Publication).

Berwisata bersama keluarga perlu dipersiapkan jauh-jauh hari sebelum liburan tiba.

mengenai pemberian ‘cuti kerja’.

Business casual is more professional than smart casual, but more relaxed than business or corporate attire. Business clothing, including traditional suits, dresses, shirts and skirts form the basis of business casual looks. But taking the suit down a notch to become more relaxed is the end goal.A severe business look of a pants suit, crisp shirt and classic accessories can be softened by removing the jacket, loosening the hair and switching jewellery for more contemporary peices. A good rule of thumb is to choose two business peices and one casual peice, ideally layered underneath.Business Casual Wardrobe BasicsHaving a few basic business peices in your closet is a great starting point to creating a casual work look. The darker the colour of the basics, the longer the shelf life of the clothing and the more professional the image you will present.• Asuit, pantsandjacketcomboinadarkneutral, likeblack, navy

(short sleeve, scoop neck; three quarter sleeve, v neck)• Shift and shirt dresses in neutral colours (black, grey, brown,

tweed)Tone down business basics for a business casual look with casual pieces.Accessories for Business CasualFor a toned down look, switch ordinary accessories for more contempory or funky peices. The following list may be of some inspiration.• Avelvetorfabrichandbaginsteadofleather• Colouredpumpswithpeep toes insteadof black closed toe

shoes• Irregularbeadsinanecklaceinsteadofastringofpearls• Aheadbandinsteadofhairinaponytailorbarrette

• Ear-rings, including beads, hoops, drops, or coloured stonesinstead of studs or sleepers.

Creating a Business Casual Look A business casual look can be created by mixing and matching different garments of the working wardrobe with less professional peices.• Wearingthepantssuitwithateeinsteadofashirtbringsthe

outfit into more casual territory. This look can be played on quite easily, through the switching of accessories

• Tailoredpantsandskirtscanbebrought intobusinesscasualby teaming them with a cardigan instead of a jacket. Tailored pants look fantastic with a t-shirt layered under a coordinating vest

• Shiftandshirtdressescanbewornwithflatbootsandacardi.Heels and jackets take the look into corporate territory.

• Twinsets, especiallywhenwornasindividualpeices, arebrilliantbusiness casual basics. Wear the cami under a suit, or the cardi over a dress. Wearing the twinset as a set with tailored pants or pencil skirts can look business casual if work with non-traditional jewellery and footwear.

Casual FridayCasual Friday is a grey area for most corporate workplaces. As a rule of thumb, jeans should be avoided unless the dress code states that jeans can be worn on these occasions. If jeans are being worn on Casual Friday, keep them dark with minimal detailing. A pair of distressed jeans worn only once can be enough to loose credibility and professionalism. Team them with a button front shirt or dressy tee, and a tailored jacket with heels or wedges.Business casual is becoming more and more common in workplaces. Keeping the look tailored and professional is the key to mastering the look. Break down traditional peices and play on different looks with casual peices and accessories. With a business casual dress code, there is a substantial room for movement and interpretation. If in doubt, one should take clothing notes from a person in a more senior position, and choose to dress in a manner that echoes their business casual look.

Compared to debating the introduction of Spanx for men or issuing a stern warning against the use of eyeliner, weighing in on the finer points of personal style, specifically cologne, may seem relatively pointless. There are bigger battles to fight. But after catching a

whiff of the grave mistakes of men who we thought would never fall pray to the pitfalls of scent selection, application and storage, it’s clear that the time has come for a refresher course on the dos & don’ts of cologne.cologne dosTry before you buyThere is only one way to tell how a scent will actually smell, and it doesn’t involve scratching and sniffing a magazine or fragrance-laced piece of card stock from an overly aggressive sales girl at the perfume counter. Watch what you eatBody chemistry is a key factor when considering the dos and don’ts of cologne. The problem: Chemistry isn’t consistent. One trip to the Indian buffet, a gorge-fest of fried chicken or throwing back a beer can make cologne smell stronger -- and not in a good way. Reapply if you have dry skinWhen it comes to cologne, knowing your skin type is mission critical. Oily complexions maintain scent longer, with fewer and less frequent applications. The additional moisture on the surface of the skin acts as a chemical activator. Apply after a hot showerLike most things in life, timing is everything. So, naturally, there is a prime time for applying fragrance -- like after a hot shower or bath. The water temperature and steam assist in prying pores open, which in turn, sop up scent. They’re what keep you smelling fresh (or not) all day long. cologne don’tsDouseWe all know that guy who has a perpetual trail of saturated scent

you can smell from a mile away. It announces his coming and going in the most olfactorily offensive way possible -- the classic case of foul play with a trigger-happy hand as the culprit. Instead of dousing (and needlessly wasting that precious liquid), spraying at the pulse points is a more effective way of application and, honestly, a cologne basic. A dab behind the ears, on the wrists and at the base of the throat -- essentially, anywhere the blood vessels are close to the skin’s surface -- is all you need to maximize your musk. Use scented soapsCool rain and arctic blast may seem like the perfect pals for shower time. What’s the problem then? Strongly scented soaps and body washes can mix in unintended ways with any cologne applied afterward. Think one scent is enoughDespite the old advice of finding a signature scent and sticking to it, men must remember the importance of changing things up. This isn’t just for kicks -- there is a method to the madness. As seasons change, cologne must follow suit. A full-bodied fragrance for mid-July doesn’t match the mood and can be overpowering. Wait aroundMen have a bad habit of hoarding unopened cologne bottles for use at a later date. We tend to stockpile them as though they’d be useful in a nuclear attack. But colognes have a shelf-life: Three years to be exact. After that, the natural oils in the bottle lose their intensity and go rancid. scent of a manCologne is a crucial part of being a man. The whole scent thing plays into our primal need to mark our territory. And now, you’ll be able to mark that territory right.

Note: Rock climbing is dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. Proper instruction is necessary in order to learn how to rock climb safely. The

information in this article is not intended to teach you how to rock climb, but rather to provide you with an introduction to the sport, and a guide to getting started.Rock climbing: an extreme sportAs far as sports go, there are few more extreme than rock climbing. Imagine yourself 100 feet from the ground, with your

feet balanced on tiny flakes in the rock the size of dimes, and your fingertips clutching a minuscule ledge. Your hands are sweating. Your legs are trembling. The holds improve a little higher up - if you can get there.

Fumbling the ball here doesn’t just turn the ball over to the other team. Failure here means a four-story fall. You are

pretty sure that your last piece of protection will catch you if you placed it right, but you won’t know unless you actually fall. You are also relying on the knot you tied between your climbing harness and a half-inch-thick rope, as well as the skill and training of your climbing partner who belays you from below. Mistakes here can be catastrophic, which is

what makes climbing so extreme.Do you have what it takes to go rock climbing?A common misconception about rock climbing is that it’s all about strength. To be sure, being strong helps, and is essential for more advanced climbs, but almost anyone can get into rock climbing. What is more important is proper technique, which requires excellent balance, flexibility and a mind of steel. If your legs are shaking to the point of an Elvis Presley imitation, the strength of your upper body won’t matter much. Fear can paralyze even the strongest climber. Also, the secret behind rock climbing strength is not absolute power, but power relative to your own body weight. Often the best rock climbers are tall and lanky, though some of the world’s top climbers are short. Rock climbing is one area where size doesn’t matter. What matters is your ability to pull your own weight. One consequence of the requirements of rock climbing is that women are often more likely to have what it takes than men, particularly when it comes to balance and flexibility. Translation: If you get into climbing, you are likely to meet many hard-bodied members of the opposite sex.Rock climbing stylesTop roping: Climbing where the rope is already placed through safety gear at the top of the climb.Lead climbing: Climbing where the rope is not already placed at the top of the climb. The lead climber carries the rope up the route, attaching it to points of protection as they go.Bouldering: Climbing boulders without the protection of ropes, and only a crash pad to soften your fall. Routes, called "problems," are shorter, requiring more power and technique.Getting started rock climbing

The best way to get into climbing is at your local indoor climbing gym. If you live in a major urban center, chances are there will be a climbing gym nearby. Many gyms offer you the chance to try the sport safely without learning any of the techniques. If you like it, you can take a more in-depth course. An introductory course at a climbing gym will usually take a few hours, and should cover basic climbing knots, basic equipment and belaying. It will typically run you around $30-75 per person. At the end of the course, you should be able to pass the climbing gym’s safety test and safely climb top rope routes indoors. Many gyms also offer technique and lead climbing classes when you are ready to move to the next level. At this stage, the only gear you need is a pair of climbing shoes, a climbing harness, and depending on your climbing gym, a belay device. You can rent these items from the gym to start, but over time these costs will add up, so it might be more economical to get your own gear right away. You can probably pick up a pair of used shoes, but under no circumstances should you buy a used climbing harness or belay device, since an external inspection cannot tell you if the equipment is safe. The clothes you normally work out in should be fine to start.Basic rock climbing techniques• Climbwithyourlegsandnotyourarms.• Keepyourarmsstraightwhileyouarehanginginplace.• Lookdowntoplaceyourfeetwithprecision.• Trytokeepthreepointsofyourbodyincontactwiththewallatalltimes,i.e.,twohandsandone

foot or one hand and two feet.• Whenyougetstuck, moveyourfeet.Moving outdoorsOnce you have been climbing indoors for a while, you will be ready to take the leap outdoors. One of the best ways to take this leap is to find more experienced climbers at your gym who are willing to let you tag along. Climbers are generally laid-back and quite willing to include others in the fun, so making friends should be easy.Since outdoor rock climbing requires a more in-depth skill set, it is also strongly recommended that you take an outdoor climbing course from a certified instructor. Ask at your climbing gym if they can recommend an outdoor climbing school or certified mountain guide. An introductory outdoor climbing course should take a full day. You should learn how to set up a top rope anchor, rappel (lower yourself down) after a climb and the class should also cover important safety techniques. At this stage, you will need to invest in more extensive gear, including a helmet, rope and climbing hardware.Where to go rock climbingA common misconception is that only mountainous states have stellar climbing. In fact, amazing climbing locations can be found across the United States, and there are too many places to list here. Ask around at your local climbing gym or outdoor sporting goods retailer.this is the summer to go rock climbingOnce you’re ready to step up your rock climbing game, take a course in outdoor lead climbing or multi-pitch climbing. Work on your upper body strength, flexibility, and mental stamina. But remember that climbing is inherently dangerous. Only proper training can minimize those dangers, so make sure you know what you’re doing before you head out.

PROPERTY & HOME IMPROVEMENT

Watch out for over-stuffed wardrobes - yes, people do look in them to check the amount of storage space - so clear them out. Clean, clean, clean Your home must sparkle and smell clean! Getting professional cleaners in can be money well-spent. Have the carpets, curtains, sofa covers and oven cleaned. Make sure your windows are clean inside and out. Pay special attention to the kitchen and bathrooms, which need to be inviting and hygienic. Buy a new toilet seat and some fresh white towels. Clean grubby fingerprints from light switches and doors. Make mirrors sparkle. Add a strategically placed plant or two, or some fresh flowers. Fix it Go around the house room by room and make a checklist of all those little jobs which need doing. Fix dripping taps, repair peeling wallpaper, touch up paint chips. If you can't stretch to re-tiling in the bathroom, re-grouting should bring it up like new. A couple of new kitchen doors can really smarten up a tired-looking kitchen. Leaving these little jobs undone will give the wrong message to potential buyers - that you haven't looked after your house. Freshen Up A fresh coat of neutral paint, new tiling or lino, and will transform rooms. Neutral colours may be a little boring to live with, but buyers really do find it easier to imagine themselves living a home where they can't object to your colour scheme; they find it easier to imagine brightening it up, than toning it down! You can add some character back with a few bright accessories. A new shower curtain in the bathroom, some new cushions in the sitting room, some bright bedlinen on the beds - all these can add a little spark, without detracting from the feeling of light and space. If you have too many different floor coverings, it can make any area seem smaller. If you can't stretch to replacing all your flooring, close the doors on the other rooms until showing each room in turn. Pets Leave pets with a neighbour, and thoroughly clean up any cat hair in particular, as many people are allergic to animal hair. Your beloved pooch may make viewers nervous, or leave a distinctive aroma which won't appeal to the buyers. The best side Most properties have good and bad points to them. Don't point out the bad side, or even comment on it. Remember, buyers will only buy what they perceive your house to be worth. If your house is presented at its best, then people will want to live there.

Tips

Whatever the housing market is doing, there are a number of tips that will always help your house appeal to potential buyers. These are ways to make your home appeal to the greatest number of potential buyers. First impressions Your house needs to look great from the very first impression; curb appeal is critical! Make the front of your house look as good as it can. Plant flowers, trim bushes, weed, pick up leaves, repaint your front door, clean or replace house numbers, park your old car somewhere else. The front of your house is a good place to spend a little extra time and money. If it looks good, it may even attract passersby. De-Clutter Potential buyers need to imagine themselves living in your house. You need to show a blank canvas, in which they can picture their own belongings. Estate agents can tell you stories of potential buyers rejecting a house because they didn't like the DVD collection! Buying a home is an emotional decision; you want potential buyers to make an emotional connection with your home by being able to "see" themselves in it. Put away everything you don't use on a daily basis. Pack up ornaments, photos and posters in kids' bedrooms. Large pieces of furniture should go into storage; this will make rooms feel much bigger. In the hallway, clear away coats and shoes. In the bathroom, hide all your toiletries. In the kitchen, clear the worktops of appliances, jars and tins and replace any ragged tea towels or grubby bins.

Teknik DasarPembuatan Bentuk-Bentuk Ubin

sehingga rasa nyaman menjadi hilang.

bacaan wajib dunia investasi.
