SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMP PROGRAMS Total Preparation, Total Performance!

The International Goalkeepers Academy offers a range of school holiday camps which

cater for the needs of all goalkeepers at any skill level.

CAMP OPTIONS INCLUDE :

• 3 Day Camps (9am - 4pm) $360

• 3 Day Live-in Camps $630

• 3 Day Morning Camps (9am - 12pm) $200

• 3 Day Afternoon Camps (1pm - 4pm) $200

Payment plan with balance due prior to each camp is also available.

The camps are conducted over three days and cover all aspects of goalkeeping

training including games in the inflatable field.

The curriculum includes varied warm ups, stretching, shot stopping, distribution, crossing,

set plays and penalty saving drills.

The International Goalkeepers Academy also uses goalkeeper specific training aids that

will increase the keepers fitness and reflexes.

The camps training sessions are fun and enjoyable, with each student learning in a

disciplined safe environment.

Goalkeeper specific drills and games that are designed to enhance the keepers game

play are included along with lectures and tactical sessions.

Full day and night overnight campers receive a healthy buffet lunch (special diets catered

for), fruit platter breaks throughout the day, unlimited bottled water and sunscreen.

Live-in campers stay at the Chifley Hotel, Eastern Creek and are transported to and from

the Academy (5 minute drive). Live-in campers also have the opportunity of a supervised

swim before their evening meal.

CAMP ACTIVITIES

• Keepers will gain game experience playing goalkeeper related games. The games

enhance the goalkeeper’s decision-making skills, as they are continually placed under

pressure in game situations.

• Keepers will be trained in goalkeeper specific speed, strength, conditioning,

coordination, balance and fitness.

• A goalkeeper specific Power Point lecture will be given as a component of the camp

program.

• Keepers will learn both warm up and warm down exercises.

• Shot stopping, crosses, one on one plays, setting walls, defending free kicks are all

included in the camp activities.

• Lunch and unlimited fresh water are supplied to live-in and day campers. Lunch

consists of fresh chicken, ham, salad sandwiches, fresh pasta salad and fresh fruit

platters. (IGA has produced 2 goalkeepers that have signed with Liverpool FC,

1 with Manchester United, 1 with Newcastle FC, 1 with Bournemouth, 9 Australian

Junior Internationals in 8 years and 500 goalkeepers that could eat for Australia!)

• Goalkeeper gear including cap, boots, gym shoes and wet weather gear

• Toiletries including a towel

• Medical needs (All puffers and medicines must be clearly labelled and given to Sue on

Jim Fraser - Director of Coaching

In 1974 Australia qualified for the first time in the FIFA Men’s World Finals in Germany.

The late Johnny Warren described Jim Fraser’s performances in the qualifying games as

one of the key ingredients to Australia’s qualification.

In 1974 Australia World cup Coach Rale Rasic said Jim Fraser is the man most

responsible for contributing to Australia qualifying for the 1974 World Cup Finals.

“The first leg was in Sydney, a settled, confident team of Australians was fixing to notch up a comfortable lead to

take us to Seoul, but the Koreans had other ideas. They came not to respect us but to upset us. Cha Bum Kun,

later to make his name in the Bundesliga, and his mates had us pinned. Keeper Jimmy Fraser performed gold

medal feats of gymnastics to keep them out in the most remarkable display by a goalkeeper before or since. The

match ended 0-0.”

Dr Craig Duncan PhD - Strength Conditioning and Nutrition

Craig is an accredited coach who holds a PhD in Exercise and Sports Science and held

the position as Sydney FC Conditioning Coach and Video Analyst for a four year period.

Craig is currently employed as a consultant by the Western Sydney Wanderers.

After a successful goalkeeping career where he represented NSW and made his First

Grade State League debut at sixteen years of age, Craig then pursued an academic

career that has seen him become internationally recognised in the fields of exercise and

sports science.

Craig has also been able to blend his playing experience and sports science to become

productive in the development of the KEEPER-FIT program. He has extensive experience

coaching children, youth and seniors and has been fortunate enough to work with a

number of international coaches and players.

Craig has also coached in the USA and has an innovative view on goalkeeper coaching

that has been developed over the last twenty years. His professional qualifications include

Bachelor of Human Science PhD, Graduate Diploma of Adult Education.

Playing and coaching experience include State League and NSW Representative,

Goalkeeper Coach at Bonnyrigg White eagles and Hills Sports High NSW, NSW Institute

of Sport Womens Program, NSWIS Goalkeeper Coach and Speed and Agility Coach,

Trainer Football Elite, Young Matilda’s Goalkeeper Coach 2005, Head of the Department

of health and Fitness and Coaching South West Sydney Institute of TAFE, Visiting Lecturer

Department of Sport and Exercise Science, The University of Sydney.
