Calling all local 8-12 year olds who love to read and want to share that passion with like-minded kids!
Each month will have a different theme, rather than a chosen book. Children will be given time in the session to choose their own books that relate to the theme, for later discussion. Book discussions will be followed by a fun, social activity. This month’s theme is magic and magical places, so please bring along a book full of magic.

The Road and Cycle Centre’s mock roadway makes learning road safety and practising safe cycling fun. Bikes and helmets are supplied, or children can bring their own.

Information about the activity:
Blooming Hearts Mums and Bubs yoga offers gentle classes for mums and babies to practice yoga together. Classes help mum to release tension, build strength, improve posture and restore energy, through yoga and mindfulness. For babies, these classes offer movement to aid in strength and development using touch, rhymes and songs. All yogis welcome, particularly those beginning their yoga journey "Reconnect to your body, attune to your baby’s needs and connect with like-minded mums.

"The Funny Farmers” Show is full of live music and comedy for kids.

Information about the activity: Suitable for ages 10 and above and all abilities. No experience required. Just bring your two hands and your big smile. Participants will each create a beautiful piece of beaded jewellery. Learning basic techniques to continue bead design at home.

Information about the activity: Bring along an item of clothing that you would like to redesign/recreate/upcycle. For example: add a frill to lengthen or add to a sleeve; turn jeans into a bag; or turn a dress into a top. Sewing machines will be available and passionate volunteers will be on hand to help you too. During the first session you will work out what else you need to purchase/find and then bring it to life in the sewing workshop in the following week. We will have some items of clothing for you to use if needed. Aimed at youth.
Cost? $5 per person – extra materials to be purchased by participants (assistance will be provided in the first session to determine what items will be required to complete your project)
