1.O beautiful our country,Be thine our nobler care;Than all the wealth of commerceThy harvest waving fair,Be it thy pride to lift upThe manhood of the poor;Be thou to the oppressed,Fair freedoms open door 2.For thee our Fathers sufferedFor thee they toiled and prayed;Upon thy holy altarTheir precious lives they laidThou hast no common birthrightGrand memories on thee shine;The blood of noble races,Co-mingled flows in thine. 3.O beautiful our countryRound thee in love we draw;Thine be the grace of freedomThe majesty of law,Be righteousness thy sceptreJustice thy diadem;Upon thy shining forehead,Be peace the crowning gem.
