SCHOOL MOVEMENT Children are not permitted to be within the school building unless they have been given permission by their classroom teacher or the Principal. In such cases students should be in view of an adult. Children should remain within the allocated room (e.g. classroom, library) during class time. Children are encouraged to use bathroom facilities during recess and lunchtimes only and use only the toilets downstairs adjacent to the back yard. Special arrangement may apply (e.g. child with urinary tract problem). The classroom teachers are expected to be available and responsible for the early morning 8.30-9.00 a.m. During the early morning session, children are expected to participate in the organised educational games time and must remain in the designated area. Students are expected to use the stair banister for support only and not slide down. Students are expected to walk and not run when within the school building, especially when ascending or descending the stairs. Students are required to be considerate to other classrooms when walking through the building during class time and if required to talk using quiet voices. When leaving the school grounds or entering the school buses, students are required to line up single file and follow any staff members’ instructions.. Last Updated: 16 March 2013
