Gordon Gordon, the couple who wrote 20 novels, including“That Darn

Cat,” which was made into a Disney movie.

Steve Emerine ScholarshipThe scholarship is named for a Tucson journalist and former UA jour-

nalism faculty member with a keen interest in public affairs reporting.

Richard Gilman ScholarshipThe scholarship is named for a UA journalism graduate and former

publisher of The Boston Globe.

Hank Hubbard Memorial ScholarshipThe scholarship is named for the longtime TV news journalist and

intended for students interested in broadcast or investigative journalism.

The scholarship is named for the author, Pulitzer Prize winner and

founder of the UA journalism program.

John Rawlinson ScholarshipThe scholarship for the Arizona Daily Star reporter who also was a

member of the Arizona Project, the team of investigative reporters who

looked into the death of The Arizona Republic’s Don Bolles.

Jon Ruby ScholarshipThe scholarship is named for the longtime vice president and general

manager at Tucson’s KVOA-TV.

Shandel Education Plus ScholarshipThe scholarship is funded by an anonymous donor who believes in the

value of international travel to enhance one’s education.

Society of Professional Journalists Scholarship

The scholarship is funded by the organization dedicated to the perpet-

uation of a free press.

Merigay Finnerty Sotomayor ScholarshipThe scholarship is named for a 1967 graduate of the School of

Journalism and an editor with the Arizona Daily Wildcat who

believed in public service journalism.
