Problem

What would the temperature, wind pressure, precipitation, and type of front would be provided in the week of 3/6?

HypothesisI think the temperatures would be

neutral. I think they would because since it’s the beginning of spring, and the temperature still can be related in the winter state. The air pressures will also be neutral. This is the flu season, so there will be many changes in the weather. The fronts, I think, will go back and forth because of the air pressure, precipitation, and force of the two conjoining together to make a stationary front.

Purpose

The purpose of this observation is to make predictions and record the temperatures, air pressures, precipitation, fronts, and sun visibility to compare it to how everything affects weather in their different ways. Another purpose is to examine the uses of the tools to measure weather. To measure weather, you can use a barometer, thermometer, a psychrometer or hygrometer, and a anemometer. We examined and identified the different fronts, and how the compared together and what kind of affect it puts on the rest of the temperature outcomes.

Research-The Difference between Weather

and ClimateWeather is what happens in the atmosphere. Weather

shows when it is hot, or when it’s cold. When it’s wet or when it’s dry. When it’s stormy, or when it’s calm. When it’s sunny or when it’s cloudy. Climate is the average weather over a long period of time. A place that doesn’t rain much, would be considered as a dry climate. A place where it’s cold is considered as a cold climate. Spring’s weather is basically unpredictable. It could be cold, and wet, and other days, it could be hot, and sunny. Summer’s weather is usually hot, giving warm night temperatures. Fall’s temperature is mild. Skies are mostly clear, and the air is often cool. Winter’s temperature is also fairly mild. When the air gets cooler, it forms rain into snow, hail, or sleet. The different types of climate are on the next slide.

Materials

1. 2 Celsius thermometers: suggested range: −5 to 50°C, marked in 1 degree increments is fine, spirit-filled (not mercury-filled: mercury is toxic

and will be released if a mercury thermometer is broken), 2. Water, 3. Gauze, 4. Solid piece of wood or Styrofoam for mounting5. Tape, 6. Small fan

Analysis

To emphasize on the chart, I found many interesting things. One thing that I realized is that every time it was raining, it was a stationary front. I think that is because both of the fronts, cold and warm, form a reaction to the weather for it to act certain ways. Another thing I realized was that the lower the air pressure, the greater chance of precipitation. In conclusion, the weather is very important, and is dearly to our daily lives.
