Human beings are considered as complex organisms , because the human body is well organised to carry out all the life processes.Without such an efficient organisation , the human body cannot exist and function
HUMANS ARE COMPLEX ORGANISMS BECAUSEHumans can do many things in the same timeHumans can think Humans are made up of various types of cellsHumans are able to distinguish between right and wrong actionsHuman beings are able to invent something newHumans are able to discover new medicines for treating diseases
Human beings are complex and special organisms as there is a complex organisation of cells in the human body. The organisation in the human body is summarised as follows:Cells> Tissues> Organs> Systems> Organism.
VARIOUS SYSTEM IN THE HUMAN BODYThe Lymphatic System - Bodys defences against infection The Reproductive - System For reproduction The Nervous System - Detect stimuli and responds to them. The Muscular System - Enables body movement. The Blood Circulatory System - Supplies the cells of the body with the food. - Transport waste product. The Excretory System - Removes waste products from body. The Digestive System Processes food (ingestion, digestion, absorption)The Respiratory System - Supplies oxygen and aids removing of carbon dioxide The Endocrine System - Produces, stores and secretes chemical substances known as hormones. The Skeletal System - Protect internal organ. - Provides body support
The first thing is that human cells are specialised. They perform certain specific functions. There is also division of labour. Each cell, tissue, organ and system has its own functions. Human beings have the most developed brain. As a result, they think and solve problems, decide between right and wrong, invent new things and adapt themselves to their surroundings. Why human beings are complex organisms?
Human beings are able to communicate by using languages
Humans are also able to think and solve problems
Humans enable to learn and gain knowledgeHumans capabilities
An organ consists of two or more kinds of tissues joined into one structure that has a certain task. Examples : - The heart - The kidney - The lungs - The stomach - The liver - The brain HUMANS ORGANS
TYPES OF HUMAN CELLSHumans are made up of various types of cellsTheres some examples below
HUMANS INVENTIONSHumans can invent various types of thingsUsing their brains and creativity
ORGANISATION OF CELLS IN THE HUMAN BODYMost organisms are made up of Many cellsThey have different shapes and sizes and carry out various functions in the bodyCells in our body work together at three levels of organisation : the tissue level , the organ level and the system level
Tissue is a group of simillar cells working together as a unit. There are four major types of basic tissue in the human body.
A few different types of tissues , group together to form an organ. An organ performs a specific function For example , the small intestine , which is an organ for the digestion and absorbtion of digested food , is made up of muscle tissue and epithelial tissue Organs are more complex than tissues There are many organs in the human body. Heart , eyes , ears, lungs , liver , skin , kidneys , and reproductive organs are examples of organs in the human body. Each organs carries out a particular function
