Strategic response to FP7 call to reinforce links science education and science and technology careers in the private sector through reinforcing the partnership

industry/education.

AIMIncrease young Europeans’ interest in mathematics, science and technology education and careers, addressing: * lack of interest in the subjects * the future skills gap

Major dissemination/exploitation activities to mainstream & sustain good practices and so increase # opting for MST in schools ==> increase # of

Europe’s researchers & scientists.(>1,000 schools targeted)

Through innovative initiatives and coordinating and building on existing school/business partnerships in the field of MST education across Europe, via* portal: observatory of industry-education information, guidance & good practices in Europe (repository of practice, disseminate and stimulate good practices in Science and Maths and encourage new practices)* validation of good practices (in 150 schools in 15 countries), design programme of activities, organise seminars for teachers on industry-education cooperation in Science and Maths education.
