GCT insulated concrete panels are prefabricated lightweight structural elementsconsisting of an expanded polystyrene (EPS) core sandwiched between two layers ofgalvanized steel welded wine mesh.

Landing Panel

A structure that connects two stairsbetween floors. lt is used when thereis not enough room for a continuousstair run.

Single Mesh Wall ElementPerfect for walls, partitions, claddings, floors and roofing incivil or industrial constructions. The single panel covered withthe high strength concretemortar can be used as a load-bearing structure in up to fourstory buildings.

Structural Roof and Floor ElementsThe floor and roofing panels with or withoutRC provides great advantages such as lighterstructures, great insulation and fast assemblytime.

Stairs Panel

Provides for a strong andlightweight structure. lt ismade up of a polystyrene(EPS) block. The stair panelsuitably reinforced andfinished on site with highstrength concrete mortar canbe used to build stairs up to

Page 3: SCIP Building System

Ease of handling and simple assemblingThe panels can be manually positioned by just one person without the use of liftingequipment. This process speeds up the construction without the use of specializedeq uipment.

Chases for Plumbing and Electrical ConduitsBefore the concrete mortar is placed on top of the panels, the insulation and steel wirecan be easily cut to allow concealed placement of plumbing and electrical lines. Thelaying of the systems is easy, fast and clean, since it does not require any masonrywork. A heat gun can be used to melt the polystyrene prior to the placement of theelectrical, communications and/or plumbing lines

Mortar / Plaster ApplicationOnce the panels have beencorrectly positioned and theelectrical and plumbing is in place,Structural Mortar is applied to thepanel surface. A suitable mortarapplication machine such as theM-Tec Monomix is used.

Page 4: SCIP Building System

A high-strength mortar achiving 4,000 psi at 28 days is sprayed onto each side of thepanels in the field at the job site to create a monolithic structure.

Garmelo Structural Mortar MixStructural Mortar is a single component Portlandcement based high strength plaster containingadmixtures for superior bonding strength. Theproduct contains Class F FlyAsh with pozzolanicaction making it less permeable and easierto place and finish. Packaged in 50 lb bags,Structural Mortar Mix is simple to use, onlyrequiring the addition of water at the jobsite.

Advantages:- Special design mlx for EPS Systems- 4000 psi strength- High adhesion- Longer durability- Smooth finish- Resistance to sulfate & carbonate attacks- Less prone to cracking- Environmentally Friendly

Mortar Application to GGT PanelsWe recommend M-Tec Equipment.

Advantages:

- A significant increase in productivity- Quality assurance.- Reduction in waste and loss of material- Better material inventory control- Reduced dust emissions

GCT lnsulated Concrete Structural Panels

Sustainability and Energy Savings- The thermal comfort of structuresbuilt with the GCT SCIP system is achieved by our insulating core of EPS andminimization of thermal bridging. Energy consumption is dramaticallyreduced and favors strategies aiming at sustainable development.

GCT components are Cost Effective, Energy Efficient andreduce lnsurance Rates.

Lightness and Quick Installation - Several projects built under variousconditions, in many countries of the world and using different workershave shown a remarkable shortening of the construction time usingthe GcT sClP system compared to those carried out with the traditionalsystems. The use of the industrial system optimizes the constructionprocess and reduces labor cost.

Hurricane Resistant - Structures built with the GCT SCIP system haveproven throughout the years, their capacity to withstand the forcesexerted by the strongest of hurricanes.

Fire Resistant - The quality of the insulation (EPS) core used for the GCTSC|P are of the self-extinguishing type: moreover, the concrete layerswhich cover them on each side, protect them from combustion. A wallbuilt using the PSM80 component, has shown a fire resistant rating inaccordance with ASTM E-1 19.

Earthquake Resistant - Laboratory tests carried out one of the GCT SCIPprototypes, have shown that the structure withstands, with no problems, strains greater than those calculated for a First Class Earthquakereg u lation s.

Load Resistant - Laboratory tests have proven the high load resistanceof the GCT SCIP panels. Compression tests with center load carried outon a finished single panel 10 ft high, have shown strengths in excess of20,000 lbs. /ft.

Architectural Freedom - We offer a full range of building elements; loadbearing walls, partition walls, floors, roofs, and stairs. Large spans andgeometric shapes and curves are easily obtainable with our components.

Soundproof - The GCT System offers a great barrier to sound.

Wide choice of finishing: Carmelo Mortar Mix with superior bondingstrength is easy to place and finish with desired textures as specified byarchitects and designers.

G.C.T. Panels:

G.C.T. Structural Concrete lnsulated Panels (SCIP) are prefabricated lightweightstructural components for all building needs. Our panels consist of an EPS core thatis sandwiched between two layers of galvanized high strength steel welded wiremesh. A galvanized steel truss wire is pierced through the EPS core and welded toeach of the outer galvanized steelwelded wire mesh layers. This meshwork is madefrom steel having a minimum yield of 87 ksiand a minimum fracture of 99 ksi.Thisconfiguration complies with ACl, section 3.5.3.5 and lBC, section 1903.

GCT Panels are covered in the field, with a high strength mortar compliant to ASTMC-387 and ASTM C-270, such as Carmelo Structural Mortar Mix.

GCT SCIP System is Manufactured with M2'Technology and our proprietarydesign meet the following requirements under the Technical Evaluation Reportperformed by Structural Building Components Research lnstitute (5BCRl):

Applicable Codes and Standards:

.2006,2009 and 2012 lnternational Building Code (lBC)
