Basic Concepts for Supply Chain Management of Supply Networks

Supply Networks follow by nature Distributed Business Processes

A state of the art System Architecture allows now to follow the requirements of the Distributed Business Architecture

Collaboration Levels allow the members of a Supply Network to run their own strategy as well as to cooperate in optimizing the Supply Network

Supply Networks are dynamic control networks and incline in specific cases respective configurations to oscillate

Supply Networks are treated as a superposition of Supply Chains

Basic Concepts for Modeling of Supply Networks

The goal is to reduce the complexity of supply networks from a n:m relationship to a simple 1:1 one

Because the simple 1:1 relationship is well understood and in many cases implemented recursion leverages of this fact

The Recursive Model of a Supply Network allows different views to the network and helps to take advantage of the solutions already implemented and proofed in reality
