The Scottish Flag

The Scottish flag has been the same since the 9th century.

According to legend, St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland, was crucified on an x shaped cross at Patras. That is where the x comes from on the flag.

Scotland 1913-2013

Scotland has not changed greatly over the last 100 years.

It still has it’s magnificent views and the people in Scotland are still very polite.

I think it would be a lovely place to visit and I hope to do so sometime in the future.

Loch Ness

Loch Ness is a big, deep, freshwater lake in the Scottish Highlands.

Area: 56.4 km2.

Length: 36.3 km.

Common Fish: Arctic Char, Northern Pike, Atlantic Salmon and Brown Trout.

The Loch Ness Monster is believed to be a myth and is said to have been seen in Loch Ness since the early 700’s.

The Loch Ness monster is one of the most famous ‘mythical’ creatures.

I believe in the Loch Ness Monster because it could have been a dinosaur that didn’t become extinct, because it lived in water and not on land. Crocodiles lived at the same time as dinosaurs and still exist - therefore the Loch Ness Monster may still exist.
