It is the capital of Scotland and home of the Scottish Parliament and Government.

It is Scotland's largest city by area and second largest by population.

The city is located in the south-east of Scotland.

won a battle against Napoleon at Trafalgar near Spain,but he died in the

battle.In the square important multicultural celebrations take place.

St Paul’s Cathedral• It’s the biggest church in London.It was

built by Sir Christopher Wren in the 17° century.

The London Eye • It’ s a panoramic wheel by the River Thames,near the Houses of Parliament

and Big Ben.

Big Ben • It’s the bell inside the famous clock above

the Houses of Parliament.

Westminster Abbey It’ s a ancient church were the kings and queens of Britain are crowned and buried.

Poet’s corner is an area were famous poets and writers are buried.

Buckingham Palace• It’s the Queen’s home in London.When a

flag flies on the roof the queen is in residence.In front of the palace takes place the famous ceremony called the

Changing of the Guards.

The Tower of London• It is not just one tower but there are 22

towers.It was built by William the Conqueror in 1066.In the past it was a

royal palace,a prison and a fortress.Today is a tourist attraction.The Crown jewels

are there.”Beefeaters” are the guardians of the Towers.Six ravens live there and

guard the tower from bad luck.

Tower BridgeIt’s the famous bridge near the tower of

London.It opens to let tall ships pass.

WALESIt is one of the four

countries of the UK.

Wales is a very beautiful part of the UK. It has three national parks, which include a

majestic mountain regions, a protected costline and wildlife islands.
