Assistant Director of Operations

• Commanded the daily operations of Air Combat Command’s most technically diverse training squadron that provides specialized training for all branches of the Department of Defense (DoD)

• Supervised, mentored and evaluated 4 military officers, 19 enlisted airmen and 2 Air Force civilians• Managed $1.1M budget to train over 1100 military students in 12 mission focused courses per year• Oversaw $3.5M state-of-the-art multimedia facility producing USAF operations and safety videos

Aviation Safety Program Management

• Directed the Air Force Safety Management System for a 4000 personnel Air Force Wing supporting the combat and training flight operations for 36 B-1B bomber aircraft

• Headed the development and operations of the Wing’s Mid-Air Collision Avoidance Program, the Hazardous Air Traffic Reporting Program and the Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard Program

• Responsible for ensuring the safe working environment and conditions for the Wing by overseeing the Hazard Identification and Elimination Program and the Risk Management Program

• Guided the improvement of flight safety and flight operations for the Wing by administering the Military Flight Operations Quality Assurance Program

• Provided Senior Leadership with mishap, risk and hazard analysis and other vital safety information needed to establish an effective, proactive safety enterprise

Aviation Accident Investigation

• Expertly managed over a dozen minor to major aviation accident investigations that determined causes and made recommendations that were implemented to prevent future accidents

• Directed numerous manned and unmanned aircraft accident investigations as the Board President, the Investigating Officer or the Life Support Officer

Aviation Safety Instructor

• Only Active Duty Instructor certified to teach the USAF Aircraft Mishap Investigation Course• Taught two Aircraft Mishap Investigation Seminars to 70 international military students from

Columbia and Chile in how to investigate and report aircraft accidents• Taught 180 USAF students in aviation accident investigation techniques, in how to make

recommendations to prevent future mishaps and in how to write accident reports and give briefings• Instructed 562 DoD flight safety professionals in the establishment and management of Air Force
