AViTEQ Vibrationstechnik GmbH – formed out of AEG Vibrationstechnik– supplies drive components and complete vibration conveyor systemsbased on the latest oscillation conveyor technology. These vibrationengineering systems have decisive advantages in comparison with con-ventional conveyor technology in respect of process engineering, designand safety, and from the standpoint of productivity improvement.

Where automatic systems or installations are to be supplied with partsin a particular orientation, bowl feeders take on the task of arrangingand feeding. Small conveyor devices for removal, conveyance or dosingare used in a very wide variety of branches of industry. For the pharma-ceutical and food industries, there are special design variants whichhave no painted parts, are easy to clean, resistant to UV light, alcoholand formalin, and are ideally suited for use in sterile areas. The mainarea of application of twist screens is for fine-grained products whichplace high demands on throughput performance and dust-free opera-tion. Round screens are driven by low-noise vibration motors or drivecells with vibration segments.

Unordered parts which are conveyed upwards in an ascending spiralpath are to be discharged individually and, most importantly, in a par-ticular orientation at the outlet. Special components – also known aschicanes – ensure that wrongly oriented parts are either brought intothe proper attitude or fall back into the bowl. Because the screen inletsare fastened with rapid closure fasteners, they can be changed quicklyand with little effort. The number of screen decks can be varied easily. Inthe system illustrated, gelatine capsules are withdrawn from supplyhoppers and dosed into a processing machine. The conveyor streamhere is 10 m3/h.

Since 1938 the company has been active inthe field of vibration technology and holds aleading position worldwide. The experiencegained in this field has also been used inscreening practice. Consequently, the deliv-ery program of AVITEC also focuses onscreening machines for the most differenttasks. The following screening machineshave been delivered to the market and runto the full satisfaction of the users:LINEAR-MOTION VIBRATING SCREENS drivenby electromagnetic vibrators, unbalancedmotors and excitersCIRCULAR-MOTION VIBRATING SCREENSwith shaft driveELLIPTICAL-MOTION VIBRATING SCREENSwith individual unbalanced driveDRAINING SCREENS for solid-liquid separa-tionGRIZZLIES for coarse pre-separationFINE SCREENS with infinitely variable mag-netic drive

If the lifecycle of many everyday products istraced back to the beginning of the industri-al process, it rapidly emerges – and perhapsnot surprisingly – that the initial material inthe majority of cases was bulk material. Butin order to arrive at usable end products, arefined technology is required which sorts,

New 210 μm urethane panels for dry screening

Derrick Polyurethane Screen SurfacesThe development of fine mesh, high open area, urethane screen sur-faces is perhaps one of Derrick’s most notable contributions to the science of fine particle separations. While all urethane screen panels arewell known for their abrasion resistance, only Derrick’s urethane screenscombine long life with high open area, capacity, and performance rival-ing that of conventional woven wire screens. Moreover, its anti-blindingproperties now make it feasible to screen materials previously con-sidered difficult or even impossible to screen.

Processing plants throughout the world have demonstrated significantcost savings through the use of Derrick urethane screens. It’s notuncommon for Derrick urethane screens to last 10 to 30 times longerthan conventional woven wire panels. With openings as fine as 75 microns (200 mesh) and open areas ranging from 35 to 45 per cent,Derrick urethane screen surfaces are suited to a wide variety of wet anddry applications.

Derrick High Speed Dry ScreeningA wide assortment of single deck and double deck dry screening ma-chines are available from Derrick. Each machine is custom engineeredfor the required duty and installation, and comes complete with theappropriate feed box, product collection hoppers, and dust enclosure. The covers and doors on the dust enclosures, together with side ope-nings on the vibrating screen frame, permit easy access for inspection orscreen surface replacement. The lower deck screen surfaces on doubledeck machines can even be replaced without having to remove theupper deck screen surfaces. Compared with other types of vibratingscreens, structural requirements are considerably less with Derrickscreens since they transmit virtually no dynamic load to the surroun-ding support structure.

DERRICK® CORPORATIONFamily owned and located in Buffalo, New York, Derrick Corporation wasfounded in 1951 by H. William Derrick Jr. Derrick is considered the worldleader in the design and manufacture of high frequency vibratingmachines and screen surfaces used to screen a wide variety of wet ordry fine materials in the range of 3/8 inch to 400 mesh (10 mm to 38 microns). Derrick screens are designed to address the specificdemands of the mining, aggregate, chemical, plastics, wastewater andforest products industries.

Derrick Stack SizerThe Stack Sizer has redefined the concept of efficient, fine particle wetscreening. Never before has one screening machine had such a highcapacity in a minimal amount of floor space. Consisting of up to fiveindividual screen decks positioned one above the other and operating inparallel, the Stack Sizer can be fitted with Derrick’s high capacity, longlife, urethane screen surfaces. With this unique combination, fine wetscreening becomes more practical than ever thought possible.Hundreds of Stack Sizers are currently operating at mineral processingplants worldwide and earning significant returns.

Derrick HI-CAP Dewatering MachineAchieving production rates of 300 TPH, per machine, our new proventechnology delivers production sands (concrete, asphalt, mason etc.) toa superior dryness of more than 90% solids (by weight). This is accom-plished by our W motor providing true high G-force linear motion cou-pled with high open area urethane screen surfaces. The HI-CAP machineoffers more than 62 sq. ft. of screen surface area on a single unit. Nearlyhalf of its urethane screen surface is open area, which is fundamentally critical for effective dewatering. The HI-CAP machine is typically fed byscrew classifier product, tank classifier cell feed or large cyclone underflow.

ITE panel screens are designed to be installed on ITE vibration shakers for the purpose of dewatering heterogeneous solid-liquid mixtures. They operate at an acceleration force of more than 6 G and set thescreens into motion, which separate the solid particles contained in thesuspension into fractions and dewater the disperse solids mixture. Thepre-stressed, fine-meshed screen material allows for a separation of fineparticles in the critical range of 100 to 45 microns. Various mesh widthspermit optimum adjustment of the panel screens to the properties of the suspension (grain size, viscosity etc.). The complete plane surface ofthe rectangular mesh design, which can be easily repaired using screenrubber plugs, provide maximum dewatering efficiency and a long product life of the screens made of high-quality, state-of-the-artmaterials. In addition, the hammer-wedge attachment system providesa fast and uncomplicated exchange of the panel screens.Should you be faced with an unresolved problem in the separation technology sector, simply challenge us and submit your request [email protected] flow line to disposal, ITE has the solutions to your separation andwaste management issues.

Rundsiebe

bivitecwe process the future

Screening has never been easier

BIVITEC sets new standards in the processing of difficult to screen

materials. A dual vibration principle from a single drive and dynamically

activated screen mats guarantee most accurate cut points even for

problematic bulk materials.

Screening technology ingeniously simple.
