Family Perspective September 1, 2019

“Those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Family life confirms the words of Jesus in today’s gospel. Commitment, intimacy, loyalty, and love are the rewards of humble service and care for one an-other. Pope Francis reminds us, “no family drops down from heaven perfectly formed.”

Mass Times While Traveling? When you and your family travel across the United States and Canada, do you ever wonder where the nearest Catholic Church is and what their Mass times are? Did you know there is a website www.masstimes.org that contains all the information you would need. This site pro-vides location, Mass times, website, etc. and all you have to do is put in the zip code or name of the city. If you forget the address of this web-site, you can always go to our parish website at: www.princeofpeaceparish.org and look under “Mass Times” to find the link there.

Children’s Weekly Worship Bulletins Each week there are Chil-

dren’s Worship Bulletins available for children, ages 3-6. They are located in the main Vestibule and at all entrance doors. These bulletins are based on the Gospel teachings, and include many activities while providing a great opportunity for our young children to learn and understand our faith.

Enter/Exit Safety Faith Formation classes are back in session. Please remember to use the designated parking lot en-trance and exit. This allows parents to drop off and pick up students without the children having to cross through traffic. This is also a safety concern when ever there is activity in the school building. Reminder: I f you are parked on the east side of the lot and decide to leave by the entrance, it is not a problem so long as you are turning left. If you turn right, there is traffic using the exit that is turn-ing both left and right. There have been a few close calls, so please do not exit to the right from the en-trance when there is a flow of traffic from the exit (after Mass and events in the school/hall). Thank you for your co-operation. +Fr. Bob
