TRANSCRIPT
Who We AreSheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) is a non-prot organization that serves the needs of our nation’s “Sheep Dogs” - society’s protectors, the men and women who have served or are currently serving in our nation’s military, law enforcement, re & rescue and EMS professions. Sheep Dogs feel serving and helping others is a way of life that does not stop when a shi or tour of duty ends. e various programs oered by SDIA provide members with an outlet to continue serving, and for some, a renewed sense of purpose.
SHEEP DOG IN NEED PROGRAMS Sometimes society’s helpers need help themselves due to an injury or medical issue, a family hardship, or other unexpected crisis. e "impact assistance" SDIA members provide Sheep Dogs in Need fosters growth and healing for all involved.
SDIA provides peer group camaraderie, and oers support and mentoring to those transitioning from active duty to civilian life by those who have successfully navigated the transition.
Our Sheep Dogs have made enormous sacrices for us. ose with physi-cal and emotional wounds suered in the line of duty oen feel they can no longer make signicant contributions to society. Helping their fellow citizens in a variety of ways facilitates healing and fosters a renewed sense of purpose. Helping is Healing.
