Responsibilities and Authorities

The position assumes full responsibility and authority in ensuring compliance of

selected Contractors and Vendors with the engineering, procurement, construction

and commissioning requirements of the project; including local and international

codes and standards, safety and environmental laws, sound or establishedengineering practices and other provisions of the Contract Agreements or urchase

&etailed *unctions

The 'ite $ngineer shall assist and get directions from the Technical 'upervisor in

e+ecuting the following

-" Review engineering designs or wor.s /applicable to his craft or )eld of

e+pertise, e"g" civil mechanical, electrical, instrument and control system,

process, safety, environmental, etc"0 of selected Contractors and con)rm

their compliance with applicable local and international codes andstandards and sound or established engineering practices"1" &evelop, analy2e or resolve constructability, maintenance and operational

issues during design or engineering stage of the project"3" $valuate proposed subcontractors and manufacturer of supplied

equipment of main Contractor and recommend approval or disapproval"

Conduct site visits as necessary"4" Review Contractors or Vendors Test procedures and witness *actory

acceptance Tests for selected major equipment and facilities"5" Review Contractors construction methodologies for critical equipment and

components including safety measures before start of construction" Verify

compliance of Contractors and Vendors on agreed procedures duringconstruction"

6" Verify if delivered or installed materials and equipment at site are per

agreed quantities, quality and required speci)cations7 approved

construction drawings"8" $valuate progress measurement reports of Contractors" Recommend

approval or disapproval or changes on the reports"

9" articipate during pre:commissioning and commissioning stages of the

project as may be directed by the Technical 'upervisor including review of

Contractors deliverables such as conduct of training; submission of

operating and maintenance manuals, as built drawings, etc", conduct of

operational tests, etc"
