Einbauhinweise

Es ist darauf zu achten, daßAbstreifer und Dichtelementbzw. Sprengring bei der Mon-tage nicht über scharfe Kantengedrückt und beschädigt wer-den. Vor der Montage ist derEinbauraum sorgfältig zu reini-gen, und scharfe Kanten sindzu entgraten.

Fitting Instructions

Care must be taken to ensurethe wiper and sealing element(or spring ring) are notpressed over sharp edges anddamaged. Before fitting, thefitting area must be carefullycleaned and sharp edgestrimmed.

The sealing wiper 1PA is fittedin fitting areas with a groovefor round wire spring rings ac-cording to DIN 7993, Version B.The seal wiper 1PA is held inposition by its holding bead. Ifthe sealing wiper are to beused in de-oiled air, they shouldbe smeared with a long-timelubricant during fitting (initial lu-brication). We recommend ourguide strip FB2 for guidance ofthe piston rod.

The sealing wiper can bereplaced with fitted pistonrod if a dismounting recess isavailable (see illustration“Dismounting Recess“ below).

Einbauhinweise

Der Dicht-Abstreifer 1PA wird inEinbauräume mit einem Ein-stich für Runddraht Sprengringenach DIN 7993, Ausführung Beingebaut. Der Dicht-Abstreiferfixiert sich selber durch den an-gearbeiteten Haltewulst. Wer-den die Dicht-Abstreifer inentölter Luft eingesetzt, sollteeine Montagefettung mit einemgeeigneten Langzeitschmier-mittel erfolgen. Zur Führungder Kolbenstange empfehlenwir unser Führungsband FB2

Der Dicht-Abstreifer kannbei eingebauter Kolbenstangegewechselt werden, wenneine Demontage-Aussparungvorhanden ist (siehe Abb. „De-montage-Aussparung“ unten).

Durcheine spezielle Dichtlippengeo-metrie in Kombination mit zweiverschiedenen Werkstoffen er-reicht er eine hohe Verschleiß-festigkeit bei niedriger Reibung.Wird nur ein Abstreifelementbenötigt, kann das Halte- undAbstreifelement auch ohnedas Dichtelement verwendetwerden. Der Einbauraum mußfür diesen Einsatzfall nicht ver-ändert werden.

Aufbau

Der Pneumatik-Dicht-Abstrei-fer besteht aus einem Dicht-element (hell dargestellt) undeinem Halte-/Abstreifelement(dunkel dargestellt). Die Verwen-dung eines Spezialelastomersauf NBR-Basis für das Dichtele-ment und eines hochverschleiß-festen Kunststoffes für dasHalte-/Abstreifelement machenden Dichtsatz verschleißfestund reibungsarm.

The pneumatic sealing wiper1P3 combines the functionsof lip seal, wiper and holdingelement in one compact,two-part seal set. Thanks to aspecial sealing lip shape incombination with two differentmaterials, it achieves high wearresistance at low friction. Ifonly a wiper element is requi-red, the holding and wiper ele-ments can also be used with-out the sealing element. Thefitting area does not haveto be changed for this case ofapplication.

Design

The pneumatic sealing wiperconsists of a sealing element(shaded light) and a holding/wiper element (shaded dark).The use of a special elastomeron NBR basis for the sealingelement and a highly wear-resistant synthetic for theholding/wiper element resultsin an wear-resistant and low-friction seal set.

Design

The pneumatic sealing wiper1P5 consists of an elastomersealing wiper reinforced by ametal back-up ring.

Rear support is provided bya round wire spring ring ofcorrosion-resistant spring steel(DIN 7993, Version B), which isincluded in the scope of supply.

Aufbau

Der Pneumatik-Dicht-Abstreifer1P5 besteht aus einem Elasto-mer-Dicht-Abstreifer, derdurch einen Stützring aus Me-tall verstärkt wird.

Die rückseitige Fixierungerfolgt durch einen Runddraht-Sprengring aus korrosions-beständigem Federstahl (DIN7993, Ausf. B), der zum Liefer-umfang gehört.

Einbauhinweise

Der Dicht-Abstreifer 1P5 wirdin Einbauräume mit einem Ein-stich für Runddraht-Sprengrin-ge nach DIN 7993, AusführungB eingebaut, der ihn nach demEinbau fixiert. Werden dieDicht-Abstreifer in entölter Lufteingesetzt, sollte eine Montage-fettung mit einem geeignetenLangzeitschmiermittel erfol-gen. Der Dicht-Abstreifer kannbei eingebauter Kolbenstangegewechselt werden, wenneine Demontage-Aussparungvorhanden ist (siehe Abb. „De-montage-Aussparung“ unten).




The sealing wiper 1P5 is fittedin fitting areas with a groovefor round wire spring rings ac-cording to DIN 7993, Version B,which fixes it in place afterfitting. If the sealing wiper areto be used in de-oiled air, theyshould be smeared with a long-time lubricant during fitting(initial lubrication). The sealingwiper can be replaced withfitted piston rod if a dismountingrecess is available (see illus-tration “Dismounting Recess“below).

The fitting areas must be clean-ed carefully and sharp edgestrimmed or rounded beforefitting. The damping rings aresnapped into the groove byhand by pressing them into akidney shape. Die NBR-Lippenringe Typ 1H0sind einfachwirkende Dicht-elemente mit einem asymme-trischen Dichtungsprofil. Siewerden als Stangendichtung inHydraulik und Pneumatik ein-gesetzt, sind besonders kom-pakt und erzielen eine sehrgute Dichtwirkung.

In der Hydraulik kommensie vielfach zur Abdichtung vonPlungern, Ventilstößeln, Spin-deln und langsam laufendenDruckluftrotoren (V < 0,2 m/s)bei niedriger bis mittlerer Be-lastung zum Einsatz. The NBR lip seals of the type1H0 are single-acting sealingelements with an asymme-trical sealing profile. They areused as rod seals in hydraulicand pneumatic applications,are extremely compact andproduce a very good sealingeffect.

In hydraulic applicationsthey are often used to sealplungers, valve lifters, spindlesand slow-running compressedair rotors (V < 0,2 m/s) sub-jected to low to medium stress.As pneumatic seals they canbe put to almost universal usein applications using lubricatedcompressed air. For use innon-lubricated pneumatic sys-tems we recommend our seal1P0, which fits in the fittingareas of the lip seal 1H0.

Einbauhinweise

Vor der Montage sind die Ein-bauräume sorgfältig zu reinigenund scharfe Kanten zu ent-graten oder mit Radien zu ver-sehen. Abhängig von Durch-messer und Profilbreite ist eineeinfache Schnappmontagein geschlossene Einbauräumemöglich. Geeignete Einführ-schrägen sind vorzusehen.Bei Neukonstruktionen solltenvorzugsweise Nutringe miteinem möglichst großen Quer-schnitt gewählt werden.


The fitting areas must be clean-ed carefully before fitting andsharp edges must be trimmedor rounded. Depending on thediameter and profile width, thelip seals can simply be snappedinto closed fitting areas. Suit-able bevels should be provi-ded for fitting. In new construc-tions lip seals with as largea cross-section as possibleshould be preferred.

Die Pneumatik Kolbendichtun-gen Typ 2P0 und 2PA sindDichtelemente zur einseitigenAbdichtung von Kolben inPneumatikzylindern. Vor allemder Typ 2PA zeichnet sichdurch besonders kleine Ein-baumaße aus.

Der Doppelnutring 2P8 istfür die beidseitige Druckbe-aufschlagung in der Pneumatikgeeignet. Durch seine spezi-elle Geometrie ist er nicht zurAufnahme von Querkräften ge-eignet.

Einbauhinweise

Vor der Montage sind dieZylinderrohre sorgfältig zu reini-gen und scharfe Kanten zu ent-graten oder mit Radien zu verse-hen. Die Nutringe werden durcheinfaches Überziehen über denKolbenbund in die Nut einge-schnappt (Typ 2P8: Stülp-montage über den Kolbenbund).Werden die Nutringe in ölfreierLuft eingesetzt, sollte eineMontagefet-tung mit einem ge-eigneten Langzeitschmiermittelerfol-gen. Beim Einsatz der Nut-ringe 2P0 und 2PA empfehlenwir zur Führung des Kolbens un-ser Führungsband FB2.

The cylinder pipes mustbe cleaned carefully and sharpedges trimmed or roundedbefore fitting. The lip seals aresnapped into the groove bysimply pulling them over thepiston flange (type 2P8: fittedon one-piece pistons over thepiston flange). The pneumatic piston seals2P0 and 2PA are sealingelements for the one-sidedsealing of pistons in pneu-matic cylinders. Type 2PA, inparticular, stands out for itsespecially small fitting size.

The double lip seal 2P8 issuitable for two-sidedpressurisation in pneumaticapplications. Due to its specialshape it is not suitablefor absorption of radial forces.

Elastomervorgespannte PTFE-Gleitdichtungen sind nahezu inallen Anwendungsbereichenanzutreffen und zeichnen sichdurch besonders reibungsar-men, ruckfreien Lauf aus. Siegewährleisten auch bei hohenBetriebsdrücken und Hubge-schwindigkeiten eine zuverläs-sige Abdichtung. Aufgrundder vielfältigen Werkstoffkom-binationen können sie nahezujedem Anwendungsfall ange-paßt werden. Durch ihre kom-pakte Bauweise benötigen sienur kurze, kleine und leichtherzustellende Einbauräume.

PTFE-Gleit-Dichtungssätzewerden bevorzugt zur Abdich-tung von hin- und hergehen-den Stangen, Kolben und Plun-gern eingesetzt.

Die Profile 1G0 und 2G0sind für die Anwendung in derPneumatik und in der Leicht-hydraulik ausgelegt.

Soll ein Dichtungssatz alsEndabdichtung eingesetztwerden, wird der Einbau einesAbstreifers empfohlen. DieProfile werden je nach Anwen-dungsfall in verschiedenenWerkstoffkombinationen ange-boten (siehe Seite 29).

In der Hydraulik werdenhauptsächlich die Typen 2G2,2G9, 2G5, 1G2 und 1G9eingesetzt. Sie haben sich bei-spielsweise in Werkzeugma-schinen, hydraulischen Pressenund Spritzgußmaschinen,sowie in Steuerungselementen,Baumaschinen und Fahrzeugenbewährt. (Siehe Produktin-formation 0420B, Dichtungenfür die Hydraulik.)

Aufbau

Die PTFE-Gleit-Dichtungssätzebestehen aus einem PTFE-Man-telring und einem O-Ring alselastisches Vorspannelement.

Die erforderliche Dichtwir-kung entsteht dabei durchradiale Anpreßkräfte, die sichaus der Vorspannung und demSystemdruck ergeben, so daßdie Gesamtdichtkraft mit stei-gendem Systemdruck zunimmt.

Neben den aufgeführtenStandardmaßen und Standard-formen können beliebige Ab-messungen bis zu einem max.Durchmesser von ca. 1500 mmgefertigt werden.

Elastomer prestressed PTFEGlide seal sets are found in vir-tually all fields of applicationand are characterised by theirespecially low-friction andsmooth running properties.They guarantee reliable sealingeven under high operatingpressures and at high surfacespeeds. Thanks to the manymaterial combinationspossible, they can be adaptedto virtually every application.Their compact design meansthey require only short, smalland easily made fitting areas.

PTFE Glide seal sets aremain-ly used to sealreciprocating rods, pistons andplungers.

The profiles 1G0 and 2G0are designed for use inpneumatic and in light-dutyhydraulic applications.

If a seal set is to be used asend seal, we recommend awiper also be fitted. The pro-files come in various materialcombinations to meet therequirements of the particularapplication (see page 29).

In hydraulic applications thetypes 2G2, 2G9, 2G5, 1G2 and1G9 are mainly used. Theyhave proven their worth in, forexample, machine tools, hy-draulic presses, injectionmoulding machines, controlelements, construction equip-ment and vehicles. Design

The PTFE Glide seal sets con-sist of a PTFE sealing ring andan O-ring as elastic prestressedelement.

The necessary sealing effectis achieved by radial pressingforces produced by the preten-sion and system pressure,meaning that the total sealingforce increases as the systempressure rises.

In addition to the standardsizes and shapes shown here,any dimensions up to a maxi-mum diameter of ca. 1500 mmcan be made on request.

Einbauhinweise

Die Dichtsätze sollten in Ver-bindung mit geeignetenFührungselementen einge-setzt werden.

Vor der Montage sind dieEinbauräume sorgfältig zu rei-nigen und zu entgraten.

Beim Einbau der PTFE-Gleitdichtungssätze wird zu-nächst der O-Ring in die Nuteingelegt. Anschließend mußder Mantelring bei Innenab-dichtungen mittels einerMontagezange nierenförmigzusammengedrückt oder beiAußenabdichtungen mit einerMontagehülse über einenSpreizdorn aufgedehnt und indie dafür vorgesehene Nut ein-geführt werden.

Für Stangendichtsätze unddie dazugehörigen Abstreiferist bis zu einem Durchmesservon 30 mm ein geteilterEinbauraum vorzusehen. DieRückverformung der Dicht-elemente sollte mit einergeeigneten Kalibrierhülse, be-ziehungsweise einem Kalibrier-dorn, erfolgen. Die entspre-chenden Montage- undKalibrierwerkzeuge können aufAnfrage geliefert werden.

The fitting areas must becleaned and trimmed carefullybefore fitting.

When fitting the PTFE GlideSeal sets, the O-ring shouldbe placed in the groove first. Inthe case of inside sealing app-lications the sealing ring mustthen be pressed into a kidneyshape with fitting pliers and in-serted in its groove. In thecase of outside sealing appli-cations it must be expandedwith a fitting sleeve and expan-sion mandrel and inserted inits groove.

A divided fitting area shouldbe provided for rod seal setsand corresponding wipers upto a diameter of 30 mm. Thesealing element should be re-stored to its original shape witha suitable calibration sleeveor calibration mandrel. Thenecessary fitting and calibra-tion tools can be delivered onrequest.

Thanks to their extremelysmall profile dimensions andsmall diameters, these sealingelements and wiper are suit-able for miniaturised applica-tions and fitting areas in pneu-matic applications.

The pneumatic lip seals 1PJand 2PJ are extremely smallsealing elements for one-sidedpressurisation of piston rods orpistons in pneumatic cylinders.

The lip seal 3PJ is intendedfor especially tight fitting con-ditions, e.g. in solenoid valves.

The wiper 1AJ is usedtogether with the aforemen-tioned sealing elements.

The fitting areas must becleaned carefully and sharpedges trimmed or roundedbefore fitting. The seals andwipers can simply be snappedinto the fitting groove. If de-oiled air is to be used as medi-um, the seals and wipershould be smeared with asuitable long-time lubricantduring fitting (initial lubrication).We recommend our guidestrip FB2 for guidance.

The complete pistons 2P4,2P6, 2T2 and 2PM are double-acting components deliveredready for mounting. TECHNOPARTS


Aufbau

Als Kolbengrundkörper dienteine massive Metallscheibe,die mit einer Aufnahmeboh-rung versehen ist. Die Dicht-lippen sind anvulkanisiert. DerRaum zwischen den Dichtlip-pen dient als Schmiermittel-depot. Zur Abdichtung der Kol-benbohrung gegen die Kolben-stangenschulter ist der Kol-benboden einseitig gummiert.Es sind keine zusätzlichenDichtelemente erforderlich.

Typ 2P6 besitzt eine inte-grierte Endlagendämpfung.

Zur Aufrechterhaltung bzw.Erhöhung der Lippenvorspan-nung ist Typ 2T2 mit Schrau-bendruckfedern versehen.

Bei der Ausführung 2PM istzwischen zwei metallischenStützscheiben ein Dauer-magnet einvulkanisiert, umüber geeignete Reed-Senso-ren eine Positionierung zu er-leichtern.

Design

The main body of the piston isa solid metal disk equippedwith a mounting hole. Thesealing lips are vulcanised onto this body. The space be-tween the sealing lips acts asa store for lubricant. Thepiston head is rubberised onone side to seal the pistonhole against the piston rodshoulder. No additionalsealing elements are required.

Type 2P6 is equippedwith integrated end-of-traveldamping.

Type 2T2 is equipped withhelical compression springs toretain or raise the pretensionof the sealing lips.

Type 2PM is equipped witha permanent magnetvulcanised between two me-tallic support rings to facilitatepositioning via suitable reedsensors.

Einbauhinweise

Vor der Montage sind die Zylin-derrohre sorgfältig zu reinigenund scharfe Kanten zu entgra-ten. Der Komplettkolben wirdmit seiner gummierten Seiteauf den Kolbenstangenabsatzgeschoben und über eineSechskantmutter mit Unterleg-scheibe befestigt. Die Ver-schraubung sollte gesichertwerden.

Wird der Komplettkolben inölfreier Luft eingesetzt, sollteeine Montagefettung miteinem geeigneten Langzeit-schmiermittel erfolgen. DieDichtlippen dürfen in der End-lage des Kolbens weder denZylinderkopf noch den Zylin-derboden berühren und da-durch beschädigt werden.Für erschwerte Betriebsbedin-gungen und große Kolben-durchmesser empfehlen wirden Einsatz von Stützplatten(vgl. Diagramm S. 43, Typ 2T2).


The cylinder pipes mustbe cleaned carefully and sharpedges trimmed before fitting.The rubberised side ofthe complete piston is pushedagainst the piston rod stepand fastened with a hexagonalnut with washer. The screwconnection should be locked.

If the complete piston is tobe used in oil-free air, it shouldbe smeared with a long-timelubricant during fitting (initiallubrication). When the piston isin its end position the sealinglips may not touch either thecylinder head or the cylinderbottom to prevent them frombeing damaged. We recom-mend that support rings beused for difficult operating con-ditions and large piston diam-eters (see diagram, p. 43, type2T2).

Einbauhinweise

Dank Schnappmechanismuskann die Kolbendichtung leichtauf dem Kolben montiert wer-den. Die Haltenut ( Ø 12-25mm) wird anschließend in dieKolbenstange eingearbeitet.Um eine Beschädigung derDichtlippe beim Einbau zu ver-meiden ist es erforderlich,scharfe Kanten am Kolben undam Zylinderrohr zu brechen.Aufgrund der integriertenFührungsstege ist kein zusätz-liches Führungsband notwen-dig. Um im Trockenlaufbetriebeine hohe Betriebsdauer zu er-reichen, muß vor der Montagedes Kolbens ein geschlossenerSchmierfilm im Zylinderrohraufgetragen werden.


Thanks to the snapmechanism, the piston seal iseasy to fit on to the piston.The holding groove (Ø 12-25mm) is then worked into thepiston rod. To prevent damageto the sealing lip during fitting,it is necessary to removesharp edges on the piston andcylinder pipe. Due to theintegrated guide edges, no ad-ditional guide strip isnecessary. To achieve longservice life in dry operation, aclosed lubricant film must beapplied in the cylinder pipebefore mounting the piston.

Silencers are used in almost allfields of pneumatics to reducenoise in pneumatic systems.

Depending on theapplication, devices madeof sintered metal, wire cloth orplastic are used. Silencersmade of stainless-steel wirecloth or sintered stainless-steel powder are ideal for app-lications requiring high levelsof corrosion resistance, whilesintered bronze silencersare used if no especially highresistance to heat is requiredor more complex filter shapesare necessary.
