BTL STEEL WORKS was founded in 2009 with the goal to supply the domestic market of SEAMLESS STEEL TUBES.
Based on a experience of more than 40 years in cold drawing and forming of steel pipes through the sister company called RIGITEC, BTL is established as the first 100% Brazilian capital company to manufacture seamless steel tubes in BRAZIL.
Our verticalized production structure and complete mill ensure greater agility and flexibility to the market, allowing us to manufacture hot rolled and cold drawn seamless pipes in various sizes.
BTL tubes are developed and validated according to international standards. Our process is 100% controlled, providing full traceability since material income until the delivery of the final product to our customers.
BTL continues to write its history, certain of being a solution provider, with a very high level of quality and modern technologies for application in demanding situations.

Our manufacturing process applies the most advanced technology in the market.
Acting in an integrated way between the steel bars rolling mill process and seamless pipes mill.
BTL produces seamless steel tubes according to the most diverse technical standards (NBR, DIN, ASTM), meeting the strictest requirements on mechanical properties, dimensional and structural homogeneity.
The manufacturing process of our tubes provides the weld-free, which guarantees the high performance in extreme conditions of use.

BTL has its Quality Management System Certified by IS0 9001: 2008.
Our laboratories includes all necessary equipment to ensure the compliance with the main international standards, Assuring our customers high control of quality, safety and high performance.
NDT tests are performed to detect and avoid volumetric, longitudinal, transverse, cracks and discontinuities.
PACKAGING
BTL has an appropriate packaging system to ensure storage and
transportation in order to avoid any damage to materials or injures to those
involved in the handling.
BTL tubes can be packed in:
- Wooden crates fixed with steel tape (stackable);
- Pipe bundles tied with steel tape.

Cold drawn/hard
No heat treatment after the final cold drawing. Therefore, the tube has low strain capacity and mechanical stress as a function of mechanical stress.
Cold drawn/soft
Final heat treatment is followed by a suitable drawing pass (limited reduction of area). For this condition the tube allows within certain limits deformation operations (enlargement, bending, kneading, etc.)
Cold drawn and stress relieved
After final cold drawing the tubes are stress relieved in a controlled atmosphere.
Annealed + A
After the final drawing pass the tube is subjected to an annealing heat treatment at a temperature below the critical zone (920 ° C).
Normalized
After the final drawing pass the tube is subjected to a heat treatment in a controlled atmosphere furnace, temperature above the critical zone (920° C).

Seamless carbon steel pipes for mechanical applications
Widely used for manufacturing mechanical components for various applications (cylinders, bushes, worm threads, steering bars, shafts, etc.), the BTL mechanical tubes are produced in ST52 steel and strictly comply with the specifications of DIN EN 10297- 1
BTL mechanical tubes largely replace solid steel bars, giving each applicator a significant cost reduction due to the shorter processing time
HOT ROLLED MECHANICAL TUBES assured dimensions*
* Above dimensions are assured up to lenght 2,5 times the tubes O.D.
