I was invited to talk about UX design for search at a Enterprise Search Cambridge meetup event. My two main point were to consider search as just one of a flow of overall activities, and the importance of understanding the context of use; secondly, I wanted to stress that search developers can influence UX design because they have access to things like analytics data - quantitative information about what users are searching for
