Santa Shoebox Project shares the joys of giving, each year the Santa
Shoebox Project collects and distributes personalized gifts of essential
items and treats for underprivileged children throughout South Africa and
Namibia. The Santa Shoebox Project originated in Cape Town in 2006 with a
humble 180 shoeboxes. In 14 years it has grown tremendously, with the
number of Santa Shoeboxes donated reaching a total of 858 673.
This year Sandton Plant Hire pledged 50 shoe boxes. Each department took
on the task of creating their own shoe boxes. The boxes were packed with
the necessary items and sent to the Santa Shoebox Projects to be
distributed to the underprivileged children.
