Excellent comfortThe main application of the DAF XF is long-distance
transport, which implies that drivers spend many hours
a day behind the wheel. For a healthy and safe working
environment drivers deserve the best in seating comfort
and ergonomics.
That’s why the DAF seat programme was not just
selected from a supplier’s catalogue, but was jointly
developed with the seat manufacturer, in order to
create a unique seat that has all a driver could wish.
Four different executions of the air suspended seat offer
excellent comfort combined with ergonomic, intuitive
function control. Safety is served by an integrated
head restraint and a three-point seatbelt with height
adjustment. All seats feature longitudinal and vertical
adjustment over a large range, seat tilt adjustment and
- depending on the seat type - a seat cushion damper,
various air bellows for adaptable lumbar support and
two-step heating of the seat cushion and back rest.
A comfortable workplace, hour after hourMuch attention was given to the dimensions and ergonomic
shape of the seat. The materials were carefully selected and
tested to guarantee the highest comfort, also after years of
service. Breathing fabrics are backed by a thick moisture-
absorbing layer to maintain an optimum microclimate and
preserve the highest comfort throughout the day.
The Xtra Leather Air seat has a prestigious, two-tone, full
leather upholstery with stylish double stitching accents.
Intuitive controlErgonomic control was a major requirement in the design
phase. Large controls are logically arranged in such a
way that they can be easily found and their functions can
hardly be mistaken.
