The Silence of Three FiddlesThere is a silence that will never reach the memories of those who wereprivileged to hear or know Roger Everett, Dallas Burell or Morris

Mousey” Haygood. Each had a talent rarely found in bluegrass or any

ther music genera today.

Roger Everett was ill for years and never let on. Instead he was happy to

play as he did for so many years and enjoy friends and fans of the

Everett Brothers Band & Everett's Music Barn. The strains of his strongistinctive fiddle playing with the band will not be soon forgotten.

The irrepressible Dallas Burrell at 84, still stayed out all night pickinwith as many people as could keep up with him. When his bow struck

he fiddle, people gathered around and even though most never knew it,

legend was performing, just for them. He was aloof and some never

uite understood him, but we all understood the music of Dallas.

Morris or “Mousey” as those close knew him, was a jewel of a man in

ife and as a veteran musician. Although many knew of his bass playing,

t was his fiddle work that caught the ears of audiences and musicians

like. His styling on the fiddle were as pure as the original music and it's

istorical significance to bluegrass and country music.

Yes, there is a silence here that many will never hear as long the the

memories of great musicians such as these are not forgotten. Only oneuestion remains. Who will carry on the great traditions they gave us

nd shared so freely with so many?

Precious Memories Dallas Burell, age 84 passed away at his home in Decatur GA.

Our loss is great, but knowing he's at rest with his beloved

Ramona is reassuring. Friends can look forward to a celebration of his

ife in January. We will let you know when the arrangements are in

place.

Morris “Mousey” Haygood, age 69

passed away on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at

his residence in Canton, GA. An incredible talenton fiddle and bass. The unassuming Haygood was a

mainstay in North Georgia bluegrass and country

music for years. Our condolences to the family of

his great man and his contribution to to the richness

of the music we all love.

Roger Everett, age 61, of the famedEverett Brothers from of Sugar Hill, GA

died Friday, October 29, 2010 after an extendedllness . Roger was operator of Everett's Music Barn is Swanee GA.

In today’s age of modern technology anyone can have a drecording studio right in their home. If you own a computer, an

willing to invest a few hundred dollars, you can get started withhome recording. There are all types of systems out there such as

record tracks, compose, edit, mix down, and master right on

want to add items to your system such as pitch correction

instruments, or studio monitors. The main thing is do some res
