Teens are getting more wired these days, and it seems that gossip, as a

hallmark of teen social life, has also made their way online. A Straits

Times survey of as many as 100 teens in Singapore reveal that almost

all, and 94 per cent of respondents, said they have a profile on at least

one social networking site. Some teens have their profiles in as many

as seven of this sites. More than half of the respondents said they visit

Friendster or Facebook at least once a day. Some said they check their

online profiles more than 10 times a day. These teens spent hours online

finding out the latest about their friends, gossiping, and updating their

profiles with details of their lives such as with who they hang out and

where they live. It is a worrying trend. Teens may be contacted through

strangers and this can lead to disastrous consequences.

to debate an appropriate age of criminal culpability. In most states in 4

the U.S., this age is set at 18 years. In England, children below the 5

age of 10 are excluded from criminal liability as they are presumed to 6

There is nothing wrong with getting angry occasionally – it’s

perfectly natural to get tick off now and then. But staying

angry is another matter; it’s bad of your health. Apart with

wrecking your mood and alienating others, fuming all day could

increase your risk to health problems such as weight gain and

diabetes. Angry is basically a form of emotional stress, which

causing your body to release adrenaline and other stress-

related hormones. One effect of these ‘stress’ hormones are to

raise your blood sugar levels. Also, stress may made you

indulge in bad habits, such as eaten junk food. Letting your

anger boils all day can also damage your heart. A recent study

from Yale University has revealed these.

Many lives were loss on the battlegrounds. It was not just the men but

woman, too, were engaged in battle. Not all of them were directly involved

in the physical battles. Most of the women stayed home but they were

influential enough and their opinions will often improve or worsen situations

between several groups of enemies. The men would return home and talk

about the day’s strategies and the women would discretely provide insights

that would sometimes lead to major decisions being made.
