Second Life in the HS English Classroom
Mythology FieldtripThis area has artwork (I.E. statues, frescos and architecture) reminiscent of Ancient Greece. Students can practice their javelin and discus toss, pray to Poseidon, and don a toga. This area can bring the ancient mythology stories to life.
Cairo, Egypt FieldtripThis area also has artwork (I.E. Sphinx, pyramids, and architecture) reminiscent of Ancient Egypt. Students can rest and reflect under a Bedouin tent, tour the pyramids, or join a caravan. This area, and other areas like this, can be used for creative writing.
Poetry Cafe Fieldtrip
This area has artwork (I.E. statues, frescos and architecture) reminiscent of Ancient Greece. Students can practice their javelin and discus toss, pray to Poseidon, and don a toga. This area can bring the ancient mythology stories to life.
Science Fiction Fieldtrip
This area is a tribute to both classic and contemporary Science Fiction authors. Students can let their imaginations run wild and explore Sci-Fi cars, works and characters. I think I saw Darth Vader wandering the region.
Avilion FieldtripThis area has some of the best prims that I have seen. Tour the medieval castle and dance in the ballroom. Students can wander the region and discover the secrets of the forest. This area seems to have great scenery for a performance of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Globe Theatre FieldtripThis is the most historically accurate rendition of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre on the Internet. It has been made into a working theatre venue for Live Shakespearean Plays and other Theatrical Works performed by the SL Shakespeare Company and other performing troupes.
