A Testimony from St. Vincent de Paul: After attending a Christ Renews His Parish weekend, I realized that while everyone I see around me may look ’alright’, we all have troubles. I wanted

to be able to help others, so I joined St. Vincent de Paul. Through the generosity of our parishioners, when I reach out to a neighbor in need, I can provide for some of their basic needs. I see Jesus in each person and while providing for their needs, I am filled and truly blessed by each encounter. If you are in need of financial help or know some-one in need who resides in our parish boundaries, give us a call at (314) 289-6101, mailbox 2265. Leave a message and one of the volunteers will return your call. All requests are kept confidential.

“Come to me all who are weary…and I will refresh you.” Mt 11:28

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the most popular Catholic devo-tions. Although it was beloved in previ-ous centuries, Jesus appeared to St. Mar-garet Mary Alacoque in 1673, showing her a vision of the now-famous image of His Sacred Heart, surrounded by flames. He said to her: “My Heart is so full of love for men that It can no longer contain the flames of Its burning love. I must dis-cover to men the treasures of My Heart and save them from perdition." She was given the special mission to spread devo-tion to His Sacred Heart throughout the Church. Jesus gave St. Margaret Mary many promises associated with this de-votion, and requested that a feast day in honor of His Sacred Heart be instituted on the Friday after the Octave of Corpus Christi. In 1856, the Feast of the Sacred Heart was spread to the Universal Church, and in 1899 Pope Leo XIII sol-emnly consecrated all mankind to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, calling it “the great act” of his pontificate.

Living God’s Word “They all ate and were satisfied. And when the leftover fragments were picked up, they filled twelve wicker baskets.” (LUKE 9:17) The story of the Loaves and Fishes shows us that when you share what you have, even if it doesn’t seem like that much, miracles can hap-pen! Do not think that your gift is too small or insignificant! Each of us has a role in God’s plan; you just need to place your trust in the Lord. Nothing is impossible with God. You may be the answer to someone else’s prayer.

Worldwide Mar-riage Encounter is excited to an-nounce the fol-lowing schedule

for IN-PERSON weekend Experiences for the remaining half of 2022. We’ll have in place all the needed precautions to provide a safe environment for participants.
