MORNING ACTIVITIES: Kia: I woke up at 9.30. My father was at home. I watched TV and ate some bread and cheese. Then I brushed my

hair and got dressed. Then I went to school. Tytti: I woke up at 6.30. Then I took my clothes and got dressed and woke my sisters. We ate breakfast. I tidied our

beds and put clean clothes to our dressers. Then my father took me to school and my sister to daycare. Essi: I woke up at 6.45, when my mother woke me. For breakfast I had rice cereals. Then I brushed my hair and got

dressed. At 8.00 am my father took me to school by car. Aaro: I woke up at 7.00. For breakfast I had coffee and bread. Then I went to school with my friend Allu. Sonja: I woke up at 7.10 am as my Mum came to wake me up. I was a bit tired so I stayed in my bed until 7.25 am.

After getting up I watched TV for a while but nothing interesting was on so I decided to have some breakfast. I was not very hungry so I just had an apple. At 7.45 I got dressed and washed my teeth. I also brushed my hair, packed my schoolbag and made a breakfast for my rabbit. I took the breakfast for her and then headed for school. My school is only approx. 150-200 meters away from home. On the way to school I met my best friend Senja and went to school with her. This took only 3-4 minutes and I was at school by 8.10 am.

Sofia: I woke up first at 4.50 a.m. I stayed awake about half an hour and then I fell asleep again. I woke up again at

7.00 a.m. I idled a little time in the bed and then dressed. 7.20 a.m. I ate breakfast. I ate two rye bread with ham. 7.45 a.m. I brushed my teeth. I went to school at 7.55 a.m. by bike with my little brother. I was in school at 8.05 a.m.

SCHOOL: Kia: First lesson was library visit. I returned some books and borrowed a joke book. On break time I swung

and played with my friends. On the second lesson we tidied the school area outside. And then we got ice-creams. Then we had two lessons of crafts. We made presents and cards for our mothers, for Mothers day.

Tytti: First lesson was math. Second and third was mother tongue. Then we listened to a story of foolish

Finnish people. Then school was finished for today. Essi: Today we didn’t have normal lessons, because we went to the library and swimming hall. We traveled

by bus there. Aaro: I had four lessons today; religion, mother tongue, English and math. Sonja: School started at 8.30 am. In the beginning we had an assembly which was held by our English teacher

Helena Ljokkoi. She told us about the llamas. Our first lesson started at about 8.35 and we had Art. On this lesson we made rings of the birch bark. (This is the skin of the birch). On the second lesson we had Finnish and this started at 9.30. In the beginning of this lesson we finished the rings and then we got some exercises for homework. Then on the third lesson we had English and we had a national hearing test. I think it was very easy. This lesson started at 10.30. On the fourth lesson (which started at 11.30) we had Mathematics. On this lesson I honestly did not learn anything new! This lesson finished at 12 pm as a dancer came to teach us break- and street dance. This was very fun! My school day ended at 14.05 pm.

Sofia: School day started at 8.30. We had art lesson. We did birch bark rings. Break time. We had art lesson.

We continued birch bark rings. Break time. We had English. We had a hearing test. It was quite easy but I had a few wrong answers. Lunch time. We had chicken soup and bread. Break time. We had mathematics. I didn’t learn anything new. Sport lessons. We had street and break dance. 14.25 p.m. I left to home by bike.

AFTERNOON AND EVENING: Kia: When school ends I usually go to the before and after school activities. Today we played in the gym, we

were fairies and monkeys. I was a monkey. We played all afternoon, also when we went outside. At four I went home. I went to a park with my friend Helvi, she is my godmother in school. We swung, climbed and saw a spider. Mother phoned me and told me to come home. We had supper. For a little time, I was at my computer, and played some girl-games. I also watched some TV, The Simpsons was good. I washed my teeth and went to sleep at nine. I had a nice day.

Tytti: After school my father picked me up from school and we went home. I took care of my lizard. Then I got

my money and we went to Jyväskylä, to a toy store. We got a present for my mother, because she will have her birthday soon. At home I drove my bike and hang out with my friends and siblings. We watched TV at my mother’s house and then we went to my father’s house for supper. There I went to my bed and read a book for awhile and got to sleep at 22.30.

Essi: When school ended I waited for my friend to finish her lessons and then I was with my friend at her house.

After that we went to an amusement park that was in Jyväskylä. We were there for four hours and then my friends parents took me to my home. At 21.00 I fed my cat and at 21.30 I went to sleep.

Aaro: After school I went to if some fish had went to my fishing box. Me and my friend Allu went to our hut and

slept there for the night.
