DESCRIPTION

Secrets Of Perpetual Power - Hendershot Mystery by Barry HiltonDuring the period 1925 to 1928, an unknown backyard inventor by thename of Lester Hendershot, who lived in Elizabeth, a small town nearPittsburgh USA, constructed a device that could be utilised either as amotor or to supply electricity without the use of any known conventionalfuel. That his invention worked, and was not the outlandish claim of somefraudulent individual or crackpot, has been fully documented in the appen-dices to this book. Hendershot had been educated to high school level andhad only. the most basic understanding of conventional electrical theory, yet working entirely on his own and financed from his own meagre income,he produced what should have been acclaimed as the most revolutionaryinvention of the twentieth century. But like so many other inventors, whose creations have threatened the power base of big business, hisefforts to achieve commercial success were to prove fruitless. In the fall of 1927, Hendershot had perfected his inventions to the pointwhere they could be effectively demonstrated to potential financiers. Inthis pursuit, he enlisted the help of a gentleman by the name of D. BarrPeat, the Manager of the local airfield, who had become so enthusiastic inHendershot's work, that he immediately made arrangements for furtherdemonstrations to influential officials he considered could assist in itscommercial exp10itation. The potential magnitude of Hendershot's discov-eries was so great, that it was soon snapped up by the American press, andHendershot became a national celebrity overnight. Realising the possibleimpact that such an invention could have on the US economy, the wealthyindustrialists, who controlled the power and fossil fuel markets, were quickto act, and within just a few days the entire incident was buried in thearchives of the American press.Within those few days of National prominence, Hendershot was to suffer adebilitating injury from an electric shock, threats to his life and humiliationin an attempt to brand him as a fraud. Finally, he was to be silenced by thepowerful vested interests who wished to retain the status quo.
