PACKING

SECURITY TAPE

Please refer to carton requirements section of this vendor manual for more information

Customs offices around the world have increased their frequency of inspection with both

outbound and inbound shipments. To identify when cartons are opened, all sources must use

security tape.

The security tape can have the name of the factory, name of the agent, or Destination Maternity

Corporation on it and a background color is preferred compared to clear background.

Tape must be at least 2.5 millimeter in strength

Tape must be on all sides of the carton. Extend the tail of the tape 3” down the side on the short

sides of the carton.

Attached is an example of security tape.

PACKING INSTRUCTIONS

An approved Destination Maternity price ticket must be on all merchandise. A Destination

Maternity e-mail file transmits the information for the price ticket. Scan price ticket for approval

on the Destination Maternity Internet site.

° Price ticket must match the sewn in care label identifying the DMC SKU# of the item.

° Each garment must be in its own poly bag (see poly bag requirements) unless it is part of a

set.

° Each purchase order is in separate carton. Multiple purchase orders must never ship in the

same carton, even if the SKU numbers may be compatible.

° Carton packing is by SKU# (style, size and color). One SKU # per carton only. If necessary,

you must use a cut down, short carton to complete each SKU, DO NOT MIX FINAL

CARTON.

° Use a standard amount of units per carton. Indicate partial cartons accordingly.

° Ship each purchase order complete unless pre-approved in writing by DMC. Where the

quantity warrants it, ship on pallets with layered carton of like SKU's. Stretch wrap and label

by pallet with copies of the Bill of Lading.

airbags, crushed paper, silicon gel packets etc.

FOLDING BOARD

We use a folding board in our stores, to establish a consistent size when folding garments for

display. A board like this can be helpful in standardizing size for shipments. The board is

usually made of some hard or firm material like a particleboard. Ours has a hole (to grip the

board) measuring 4”x 1”. The board is about 1/8” thick. The board size we use is:

10.5” wide

16” long 1616

16” long
