What conclusions can you draw about film

distribution in the UK? Looking at all the research I carried out I noticed that

most cinemas in Manchester distribute similar filmsand more screenings for the more popular films. I alsonoticed there are more screenings in the evening andthere are less screenings available for children's films

like Happy Feet and these films were also earlier in themorning and only on the weekend except for thepopular puppet film The Muppets. Most films are alsobeing screened at similar times throughout the cinemas

I researched but rarely the same time, mostly 5 to 10minutes apart. I also discovered that The Muppetswhich was produced by Walt Disney Pictures has beenadvertised to the public through different types of

media such as the internet, television, billboards,



Which can contribute to the reason to why it has

more screenings to any other movie with puppets

or cartoon characters. I also noticed at somecinemas there was a wider range of films on show

like the big companies such as Cineworld and

Odeon than there were at AMC and there were also

less screenings which means that the companieswere smaller or they did not advertise different

films as much so had less viewings.
