Registration Number PE-6523,

100-P01 NDG&F COORDINATION: Contact Kent Luttschwager at the North Dakota Game and Fish (NDG&F) Williston office 701-774-4320 with a minimum 72 hour notice prior to commencing any of the work items within the Lewis & Clark Wildlife Management Area (WMA), approximate Sta 9437+30 to Sta 9576+60.
105-P01 UTILITIES: The vertical and horizontal utility locations shown in the plans are approximate.
Plan locations should not be interpreted as exact for bidding or construction purposes. 105-P02 UTILITIES: No utility relocations are planned. All utilities on the project need to be protected
and remain in existing location. The fiber optic cable that crosses the washout area of the Wildlife Crossing is currently
exposed, but Midco plans on boring it approximately 30’ deep no later than November 30th, 2019. Contact Derek Weigel of Midco at (701) 751-3683 or email at [email protected] if the fiber optic cable is still exposed prior to construction.
256-P01 RIPRAP - SPECIAL: Place riprap in the scour holes with the following gradation:
Size (Inches) Percent Smaller 44 100 24 50
The scour hole areas may be submerged during construction. Place the riprap carefully to prevent damage to the existing concrete apron, cutoff wall, and sheet pile. Include all labor, material, and equipment costs for hauling and placing the riprap material in the unit price bid for “RIPRAP – SPECIAL”.
704-P01 TRAFFIC CONTROL: Traffic control device quantities are based on the list below.
1. Standard D-704-22, Layout Type K and L for trucks entering and exiting the roadway, as needed.
2. Standard D-704-24, Layout Type HH for shoulder closure through work area. Use
delineator drums through the work area in lieu of jersey barriers. Place sign R2-1a(P)-24 below the speed limit sign that is prior to the shoulder closure work area. Traffic Control Device List is based on one 1,500 LF shoulder closure.
752-P01 FENCING: There is existing Woven Wire Wildlife Fence along the foreslope and/or ditch
bottom within both project areas. Remove no more than 20 LF of this fence at each location to gain access to the construction site at the existing wildlife crossing structure and high flow crossing structure. After the project completion reset the Woven Wire Fence to the pre-construction condition and location. Include all costs for labor, equipment, and materials to gain construction access through the fence and close it off, in the price bid for “Fence Remove & Reset”. A quantity of 40 LF has been provided for this purpose.
