IPL provides an extensive range of technical crude oil services to the
oil and gas (explorer and producers), traders and refining industry.
IPL has two Fischer distillation units, a Flash Assay or Rapid Yield
Assay unit and an Autodest 800/860 AC unit which allows for
physical distillation of a crude to a maximum temperature of 565°C.
As a petrochemical specialist testing lab, IPL also offers a
comprehensive range of crude oil associated analysis.
• One of our customers from the refining industry was struggling to
get their Crude Assay analysis reported within a turnaround time
that suited their needs.
• IPL needed to cater for all of our customer testing requirements
on the cuts obtained from the distillation.
• The customer needed to ensure that the crude sample could be
shipped from overseas and dealt with in an appropriate manner.

RESULTS
IPL has experienced staff dedicated to Crude Assay testing and a team of
experts reviewing all the results before issuing a final report. An interim
report is usually provided within 2 weeks for a full Crude Assay and a
final report is issued within 4 weeks of sample receipt.
IPL will provide the DG declaration forms and liaise with the DG carrier to ensure safe and swift shipment of the customer’s sample.
IPL offers a comprehensive testing matrix to determine the different cuts
properties (over 35 test methods). In addition, many of our test methods
on the cuts are ISO 17025 accredited. As an IANZ ISO 17025 accredited
lab, quality processes are in place to ensure excellence at every phase of
the testing cycle.
