Improving Cross-DomainMessaging

SMART.neXt provides DefenseMessage System (DMS) and legacymessaging on a single system, includ­ing a web mail interface. This interfaceuses the native SMART.neXt XML

message format, including fullattachment support.

New Cross-Domain Data Transfer

SMART.neXt features a powerfuldata component for cross-domainexchanges of native data formatsoutside of message attachments. Thisdata transfer capability includes aformat builder that enables organiza­tions to define the structure and rules

of incoming data and to easily addnew formats and rule-sets on-site.

Information Sharing

Northrop Grumman is evolvingSMART.neXt to support governmentinitiatives that will replace addressingwith publishing and subscribing.Information passing throughSMART.neXt can be directed to the

profiler component, where previouslyunknown individuals (with need-to­know) or communities of interest cannow receive published information ina timely manner, by subscription.
