SECURE REMOTE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS TO THE JFK HEALTH NETWORK
Overview
As a JFK Employee or Medical Staff member you can remotely access the applications that you
use on site through JFK Health’s Remote Access web site. These instructions will guide you
through installing the necessary software on your device and connecting to the JFK Health
Remote Access web site (https://connect.jfkhealth.org).
Minimum Requirements
Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10. Apple Mac OS Version 10.8 and higher
Windows: Internet Explorer 10 – 11. Apple Mac: Safari or Chrome
Internet Connection through an ISP or Broadband connection (Example - Cable, DSL, T1. No dial-up connections.)
Minimum Video resolution: 1024x768
Device Hardware: Minimum 500 MHz/1GB RAM/500 MB of available space on hard drive
Local Administrator permissions on the computer
Java JRE Version 1.4 or higher
Citrix Client (installation instructions available in this document)
Instructions
Step 1: Install the Citrix Client
1. Open Internet Explorer for Windows or Safari or Chrome for Mac and type http://www.solarishs.net/downloads/index.html in the address bar and press enter.
The page will look like this:

2. When downloading the Citrix client, please choose the appropriate link for your operating system and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Note: For Mac users, it is recommended that you quit the browser before proceeding to Step 2. (Quit is performed by selecting Command (Apple) + Q)
Step 2: Accessing the JFK Health Remote Access Web Site
1. Proceed to the website: https://connect.jfkhealth.org and enter your JFK Health System username
and password. Select the checkbox to accept the Terms & Conditions and click on Log On.
Enter the username and password that you use when accessing the MyJFK site when on site at JFK.
Note: For Windows 8 or 8.1 users, access the web site from the Desktop and not the Internet Explorer direct mode. For Windows 10, use IE11 and not Edge. If you use Edge, there will be additional prompts, like the one below where you will need to select “Open” before an application will open.
Note: For Mac users, depending on the web browser, there may be additional steps. See the “Instructions for Different Web Browsers when using a MAC” at the end of this document.

Note: If you receive the screen below, either you have not installed the Citrix client or the Citrix client on your device requires an update. Select the check box for “I agree with the Citrix license agreement” and “Allow” and “Install”
2. After logging in, you will default to the MyApps Favorites page.
To see all of your applications, select the Apps link.

To add an application to your favorites tab, select “Details” and “Add to Favorites”
3. After clicking an application, you may see a pop-up message asking you to authorize access. If prompted select FULL ACCESS or PERMIT ACCESS and NEVER ASK ME AGAIN.
4. To access the MyJFK Intranet, select the icon “MyJFK”

Note: Do not use the MyApps tab on the Intranet to access applications. Only access MyJFK when you need to access Team Sites or other Intranet pages.
5. If you access an application located in a folder and after clicking the folder it does not respond, change internet Explorer to Compatibility View mode. Click on the Tools Manu Bar and Select Compatibility View
Note: If the File menu is not displayed in Internet Explorer, press the ALT key to expose it.

Instructions for Different Web Browsers when using a MAC
SAFARI
1. On your first login you may get prompted to save password.
2. When prompted to ‘trust the website to use the “Citrix Receiver” plug-in’, click on Trust.
3. The next screen should take you to the MyJFK Favorites page.
***To check plug-in settings, go to Safari Preferences: Security section
CHROME 1. After logging in with your JFK username and password the message below may appear.
Click Install.
2. If prompted check ‘Always open links for Citrix Receiver Launcher’ and then check the box
for ‘Open Citrix Receiver Launcher’.

3. Confirm opening ‘Citrix Receiver Launcher’ for the first-time by clicking on OPEN.
4. Click the ‘I agree’ Citrix license agreement and the Download box.
5. A message will appear indicating the CitrixReceiverWeb.dmg is downloading.
6. Install CitrixReceiverWeb.

7. Click on Continue or Already Installed.
Note: If you receive the message “Cannot get your apps from the store.” Click OK.
Note: If you receive the error “This site can’t be reached.” Click on Reload
8. Chrome exceptions may be required.
Confirm that ‘https://jfknet.jfkhealth.org’ is set to ‘Allow’ in ****CHROME PREFERENCES: Advanced Settings Privacy Content Settings…. 1. Cookies Manage exceptions….
