Staff CommentsBob D., Administrative Officer “I feel all employees of the security department work very well

together and are extremely team oriented. Their willingness to communicate with each other and offer assistance to anyone whenever possible seems to spark a contagious sense of teamwork equals success.”

Danielle R., Lead officer “I’ve worked in other departments at CentraState and find the security department’s employees to be a great group to work with, always concerned for each others safety. The line of communication with our manager is outstanding; he always listens and treats everyone in the department fairly”.

Manager OverviewAbout the department head,Jim MatthewsI've worked at CentraState since: 2002

I've worked in healthcare since: 2002

My Education: Professional, college studies, certifications.

I chose my profession because:  I was employed as a senior vice president of operations in a manufacturing environment for many years in my previous company and felt my management experience would benefit CentraState Healthcare System.

I chose to work at CentraState because:  I choose CentraState over another local hospital based on the vision statement the organization adheres to.

My interests/hobbies include: Sports, fishing, educational TV programs and most of all family.

When you walk into our department, the first thing you'll notice is:

The friendly team atmosphere, a very open line of communication and a sincere honesty concerning the department and expectations of staff.

What sets our department apart from others is:

A sense of togetherness, team work and a close knit feeling of family.
