Facial Recognition’saccuracy is consistent in spite of varying light conditions, contrast, and backgrounds.

A facial recognition system automatically identifies facial features from a digital image. It does that by selecting facial features from the live image and comparing it to the images in the database.

Facial Capture The image of the individual’s face is captured and stored in the database.

Facial Recognition

• Quality transfer of video data via low-bandwidth communication channels.

• High level of access control and automated management: every access attempt are registered by the module.

• Export of specified images.• Export, printing, and transfer

of images.

• Registration of all events (movements, changes of background).

• Flexible choice of recording modes - for instance, registration of faces stored in the database.

• Compact backup archives containing large volumes of data.• Sorting and searching through events by date, time, and type.• Simultaneous playback, recording, and searching through

data.

FACE INTELLECT – FEATURES

FACE INTELLECT – TEST RESULT

Main parameters registered during the test:• Image coding rate - 26 sec • Search rate (test database included 2,584,826 images) - 2.83 sec• Automatically coded images - 99.8% In automatic identification mode the system extracted a single

corresponding image from the test database. False identification (database has more than a million images) - 1.4 per 100,000 face images.

In expert mode the system created a list of recommended images sorted by similar parameters. The decision was made by an expert in this case.

Possibility of identifying the 1st position from the list of recommended images 77.8 %

Possibility of identifying the first 5 images from the list 85.4 %

Possibility of identifying the first 10 images from the list 87.7 %

Possibility of identifying the first 20 images from the list 89.7 %

Possibility of identifying the first 50 images from the list 92.6 %

Results on the test performed using real database containing 2,584,826 images:

Faces Gallery is perfect solution for property management, gated communities, banks and financial institutions. It also works with Networked Facial Recognition, Centralized Face Monitoring Station.

Captured faces can be exported to JPG, AVI files and be sent via E-mail to security personnel or management for Facial Recognition analysis.

FACE INTELLECT – FACE CAPTURE

• Why store 24 hours of video?

• Do you want to capture only faces of the people coming into your building?

• Do you want to see all employees entering your office on any given day?

• Do you need to see all the customers that come into your bank?

An Automated System For Face Capture, Face Gallery.

Face Capture identifies a human body in the frame then focuses and classifies the position of the face. The face is then “blocked” and the system “cuts” only the faces from the frame and stores them into database.

Page 11: Security Lab 2006

25 West 31 Street, New York, NY 888-7-ITVSEC 888-748-8732

FACE ACCESS CONTROL

Every person’s face is captured by a video camera using Face Capture module. The facial image is then extracted and compared with faces that are stored in the database. Access is granted if the face matches.

Face Access Control can be setup in a network, which enables the system to store authorized faces into a central database and distributes images automatically to all networked terminals.

Recognition of faces takes less than a second depending on the number of faces stored in the database and the bandwidth capability between local points for entry.

For areas that requires higher security solutions, like drug storage facilities, banks vaults, military applications, a combination with card terminals is possible, so that each card can only be used by its owner.

Page 12: Security Lab 2006

FACE INTELLECT - TECHNOLOGY

Any kind of image data source is used for input

The image are analyzed to determine the position and size of one or more

faces. The eye centers are located and marked. Images including eye position

are taken as a Primary Facial DataNormalization: Based on the found face and eyes position, the image is scaled, rotated and finally presented at fixed

size.

Preprocessing: Standard Technique applied like histogram equalization,

intensity normalization. Characteristic of the face are extracted and represented as a vector in n-

dimentional space where similarity of faces is the distance of two vectors. The vectors represents the Secondary Facial Data and are used for fast comparisons.

Secondary Facial Data can be stored in a central database or on a token storage

device, like a smartcard.

In case the Secondary Data is stored on smartcard, only verification is possible.

IDENTIFICATION MODE: The presented data is used to scan a database for a most similar faces. The most similar

reference data is taken as an evidence of the person’s identity

VERIFICATION MODE: The presented Facial data is compared to data read from the database or token. Based on the similarity threshold the identity is confirmed.

What Is The Mobile LPR?

Mobile LPR is a specialized computer TV-system that automatically detects, recognizes, and records the license plate number of a moving car.

Detection and recognition has 95% reliability depending on the clarity of the License Plate and light conditions.

Accurate reading at a speed of 200 km/h per channel. The width of a control zone is about 3 meters per camera

MOBILE LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION

The Mobile LPR system is designed to read the license plate of a moving vehicle and automatically compares and verifies the LP with the LP records in the database.

1GB database can keep up to 20'000'000 records.

The system allows detection and recognition of either the front or rear license plates as well as from the side and top angle view up to 10 and 30 degrees accordingly.

Page 25: Security Lab 2006

25 West 31 Street, New York, NY 888-7-ITVSEC 888-748-8732

How does it work?

When a vehicle passes through the control zone (camera view scene), the system performs automatic recognition of the vehicle’s license plate. It then records and verifies the LP in the database.

On alarm, the system can send instant message through redundant media link like GSM, RF, etc.

MOBILE LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION

The system immediately displays the appropriate message on the screen as the result of LP search.
