Before the drainage, the vehicle must be prepared. That means removing the battery, refrigerant, air-bags, windows and tyres.

SEDA offers numerous tools for the further processing of the vehicle after the drainage. As a result valu-able raw materials can be extracted easily.

The SEDA EasyDrain is an ideal solution to drain End-of-life vehicles (ELV) of all liquids. Individual pumps andspecialist draining tools remove virtually all liquids in asafe and efficient manor.

Specially developed and focused on smaller dismantlers,the SEDA EasyDrain concept is very successful. Theengineering and economic challenge was to find anoptimal combination for a clean, efficient, but fast andcost-effective solution. This Drainage station fulfills all thisrequirements.

With the EasyDrain you can process up to 30 vehicles aday. The approval SEDA technology removes up to 98%of all fluids without spilling a drop.

With the new TruckStation SEDA has set new standards inthe truck recycling market. Based on the very successfulSEDA EasyDrain the TruckStation ED was developed forthe special needs of truck de-pollution. Especially thede-pollution of ELVs in colder regions was a main focuswhile developing this system.

Hoses 8 meter long are fixed and perfectly situatedunderneath the station with robust hose reels. The lengthguarantees greater flexibility of operation in terms ofspace.

The company

Balfour Towing & Salvage’s business is located in an extremely beautiful, though remote location. With a total population of only 50,000 within a 4 hours driving radius, end-of-life vehicles are far and few between.

The challenge

Every year Mr. Etelamaki accumulates 350 ELVs which needed to be processed in an efficient and environmentally sound manner. One person has to achieve this task and not a drop of fluid is allowed to spoil the pristine and ecologically sensitive site.

The company

The company, which was founded in 1982 by Patrick Rochis, has 10 employees today. The drainage rate is 1.500 vehicles per year. Regular acquisitions make sure that the company is always technically up to date.

The challenge

The company needed an all-in-one solution for the drainage and dismantling of end-of-life vehicles. It needs to be easy to implement, placed under a porch and a non waterproof surface shouldn’t be a problem at all.

The successful SEDA FuelVacuumKuli (petrol and diesel) is the perfect solution for emptying tanks of vehicles like cars or motorbikes. No gearbox or sump plug? The SEDA GearboxDrillingMachine is a highly efficiency solution to drain waste oils from engines, transmissions and rear differentials.

The SEDA GearboxDrillingMachine removes waste oil by drilling into the oil casings or pans. The height adjustment and drill speed are controlled by means of a gas spring and the foot pedal. Following the drilling process a specially designed rubber boot maintains the suction pressure to allow a virtually spill free drainage. The product is designed to drain waste oils without the need for the operator to attend the process after the initial setup. The Gearbox drill allows an easy and efficient drainage of engines, transmissions and rear differentials without or with compromised drainage plugs. An optional funnel serves as an additional time saving convenience to drain waste oils. The first pieces of suction hose is made transparent to allow visual control of the drainage process. A set of distance sleeves prevents accidentally drilling too deep in a gearbox and potentially damaging the drill bit on hardened gears. Proper use of distance sleeves is imperative for drill and drill bit longevity.

The 4 shock absorbers from a vehicle can contain up to1.5 liters of oil which must be drained. Shock absorbersare not built with drainage screws so draining them canbe a problem.

SEDA provides a fast and cost effective solution with itsnew SOG². Powerful multi adjustable grip pliers securethe drilling unit to all sized shock absorbers while thespecially designed drill bit creates a drainage hole for oilremoval in seconds. Once the hole has been drilled thedrill bit is retracted and the oil sucked out of the shockabsorber through the SEDA SOG² to a secondary storagecontainer. A suction hose is included with the delivery toremove any remaining oil below the drill hole.

SEDA’s LPG Recovery System ECO transfers LPG from End-of-Live Vehicles (ELV) into a separate storage tank.

This innovative system can be used for suctioning and filling. It pumps the LPG from the car into an integrated mobile 65 liter tank. After that an easy transfer to an other storage tank, LPG gas powered compressor, power generator, forklift or a simple patio heater is possible.

ECO is a small and mobile station which helps you to work with LPG in a more professional way!

The SEDA VehicleRamp is a steel construction for the perfectmounting of vehicles. We offer a hydraulic tilting ramp, astatic version as well as additional support beams.

The company

From the very beginning in 1928 Stene Stål A/S is one of the biggest metal recycler in Norway. Times have changed over the last years; so the company extended their business and started to drain ELV´s to profit from a new source of raw material.

The challenge

There was a need of a mobile solution which can be build up quickly and start fast with the de-pollution process instantly. It has to be available inside and outside as well. Moreover it also needed cope with the cold Norwegian temperatures in the winter and be a reliable drainage solution which is prepared for any future demands.

The solution

The SEDA 5-STAR Container fulfilled their requirements. Especially with the NORDIC EX-proofed electric radiators in the pump houses the station also works in the cold North. The mobile unit guarantees quick and uncomplicated transport and is easy to work with. The customer was convinced of the high quality of our product.

The new SEDA MultiPlex is used to trigger all pyrotechniccomponents in vehicles.

The MultiPlex is suitable for all vehicle-types. Universal pin-cables allow the connection of the device to differentvehicle-control units. Additional adaptors are notnecessary. The device is supplied with power through astandard-battery or via cable connection (with a carbattery). With the help of a control element, whichdisplays all present airbags, all pyrotechnic parts can betriggered via 2-finger-safety system.

The company

CZ-Eko s.r.o was established in 2009 as the subsidiary of TROTINA Auto s.r.o., a company selling cars and small trucks since 1998. The recycling company will now expand its portfolio and can operate across the Czech Republic.

The challenge

Due to growing demand for used car drainage, the processes had to be optimised and made faster. Also, storing of hazardous liquids and compliance with local legislation had to be taken into account.

AFR stands for: Automatic Freon gas and Refrigeratorcompressor oil removing machine. Another brand newinnovation from SEDA which is a big step forward inrefrigerator recycling.

The SEDA AFR is a compact and robust „all in onedevice“ which clamps down and drills the compressorof old refrigerators and fully automatically extracts thecompressor oil and environmentally harmful Freon gasand separates it.

Drainage Process:1. Remove the compressor over the drilling table2. Press the start button, the AFR will clamp the

compressor, drilling, draining and separation of oiland CFC gas occurs fully automated.

3. As soon as the cycle is complete the AFR will stopautomatically, releasing the compressor and signalthat the compressor can be plugged and removed.

4. The coolant system is now empty, the drilled hole isclosed and the compressor is ready to be recycled.

The Praktiker case is the SEDA entrymodel with which approximately 80%of all vehicle types can be tested forradiator system pressure andtemperature. Extended with the threeway distributor, CO2 Tester andreaction fluid the cylinder head seal

can be tested with the cooling system test at the same time.All ADAC breakdown service vehicles have been fitted witha SEDA cooling system test case.

The top model amongst the coolingsystem testing devices by SEDA “threein one“ test functions! In addition topressurizing with the hand pumpand/or compressed air, the pressure inthe system (for early recognition ofdamage) can be built up by warmingof engine. Once the operating

temperature has been reached the following can be testedin one operational step: 1: pressure of cooling system, 2:leaks in the cylinder head and 3: ventilator / thermostat.

The pressure build-up in the radiatorsystem takes place as in the 5-Star-Tester either during the warming upphase without air pressure or with airpressure via the tire inflator. Forgarages who prefer working with ahand pump we supply a couplingnipple for the connection in the case.With the SEDA system no overpressure

can occur because it is protected by overpressure valves.The rest pressure stays in the system.
